Tracy McGrady: Back is Pain Free for Now (Chronicle)

    Update: McGrady has begun his offseason workouts, including a weight-training program, and reports that his back is pain-free, the Houston Chronicle reports.

    Recommendation: "This is a great feeling," McGrady said. "I've been off for three or four months. Just to be back on the court knowing my back is not giving me any problems on the first day I actually worked out - that gives me confidence to know I'm back." Of course, pain-free in July isn't the same thing as the regular season, so McGrady's back should remain a concern. He played in just 47 games last year.

    Too early to get excited but it is definately better than hearing him say he's not feeling well.
