Toyota Truck that Honks and Hi-Beams when Rox score???

    I heard a rumor that a Toyota Pick up truck will be placed somewhere in the Toyota Center that "honks and flashes hi-beams" when the Rockets score.

    Does anyone have more info, like where and when?

    if this is done right, it could be pretty cool,
    kinda like the train at minute maid park.

    if i was to tell you that the scoreboard was going to look like a giant rocket blasting off, you probably would have said the same thing.

    I think that would be kinda annoying :D

    For instance.. " a family walks into the Toyota Center during the first quarter.. and they see a truck.. (possibly a Thundra, or whatever it is .. i prefer they place a Lexus instead ;) ). As they walk pass by the vehicle a sudden horn and lights is turned on for a couple of seconds by the vehicle.. the family is alarmed and hits the deck for possible car theft and spills the popcorn and coke all over themselves."

    only an example.. but im pretty sure the idea would be pointless since we do have a scoreboard :D

    Yeah, but imagine that train going off every 40 secs. or so. Not good.

    It's bad enough that Houstonians have to go through that crap every single day during rush hour. I bet that's the last thing they want to hear is honking.

    Remember, this is a Rockets game. The horn would only go off maybe 4 or 5 times per game. ;-)

    Hey - I heard a rumor that Les was gonna hire Isaiah Thomas and wipe the whole team.

    I also heard a rumor that the rockets are gonna rename the team to "the Ex-Knicks"

    I also heard a rumor that said that rumors don't mean squat.

    This actually had been planned since day 1. They were talking about putting a Tundra in the "Tundra Zone," a double-sized suite owned by the Toyota people. This isn't a rumor. It was definitely in the plans although I'm not sure if they are still planning on it.

    Jeff, wasn't the plan to have the Tundra's front end hanging out of the suite? I heard that on every 3 the truck would honk the horn and do the hi-beams.

    hey, the train at Munute Maid Park is COOl, becasue it only sounds it's horns a couple times a game. The train doesn't sound 40-50 times a game. THis is what a the truck horn would have to do!

    Like A-Train said, that would be DAMN ANNOYING.
