So I take it from your cynical comments that you would rather have the government run your lives? This board is ripe with a sycophantic mindset...
Well, the choice you present us is either the government or theological charlatans. If those are the only options, I'll go with the group founded by Jefferson rather than the one founded by Dobson.
It might help if you knew what you were talking about. I thought this was the hope of individuals taking control of their lives. Is this the kind of thing you are opposed to you? You don't even know what Obama is selling. You shouldn't be commenting on it.
Say what you want about his simplistic view on world economics, his political agenda, or his one size fits all investment advice, but his total money makeover plan to pay off personal debt is above reproach IMO. We are currently working his 'debt snowball’ and we hope to be 100% debt free in a few years. I listen to his show just for the inspiration to keep it going.
"In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of." Confucius
This is not a cynical comment -- it is the full truth. I miss SuperDave... a lot. And I am in general all for non-governmental gatherings with united purpose! Sports is a lot like that. And bookclubs. And churches. And plushy conferences. Not to confuse any of those.
