remember last year there was a discussion that lance armstrong doped. in fact i wrote that he was the king of the dopers. and that's why he won 7 tdf's.

some of you guys told me i'm just jealous because i'm german and he has beaten jan ullrich a couple of times.

then i told you that that's not the case. i told you that i believe that every top rider uses doping. you guys told me that i have no clue and that i've made up all this stuff.

well, i guess this day is a good time to recognize that you were so wrong.

nearly all top riders of the tour 2006 are out of the race because they doped.

    jan ullrich - out
    ivan basso - out
    francisco mancebo - out
    denis menchov - out
    alexandre vinokourov - out
    oscar sevilla - out
    santiago botero - out
    joseba beloki - out

there are more than 50 riders, who obviously have used doping. they all will be suspended.

even tyler hamilton, who retired, and marco pantani, who died, are on this list.

i guess it's like you said, lance was the only clean rider in the peloton...

and btw congratulations to you. because the clean levi leipheimer and floyd landis are now serious contenders to win this year's tour de france.

those lucky guys who have no ties to fuentes and got their stuff from other sources...

this tdf should be canceled. there is no point in letting a nobody win it. this is a sad, sad day for all cycling fans.

of course armstrong was doped ... they're all ... even at low levels they take something to win ... the best riders are those who dont get caught ... i cant understand how there still people enjoying that "sport" ... i say let em take whatever they want, be sponsored by pharmaceutical labs, and throw their life away, no way there are no consequences on their bodies ...

well I didn't see the thread on here last year, but I've always known on my own that cycling is a doping sport plain and simple

of course Lance has doped at least at some point in his career. and really, that's not a knock against Lance whatsoever...it's just a product of the initial statement that cycling is a doping sport overall

I didn't see Lance's name on the list. It's pathetic that all these guys were doping and still couldn't beat Lance. This just adds to his legend.

The futures market has been turned upside down. The Field is now the favorite, followed by Landis and Valverde. I may pick up some Field for 63 right now.

no, but does that mean anything? it's not like that this source was the only one available to get doping stuff.

and after all a couple of years ago armstrong even admitted that he used several different drugs. everyone knows it. but that's cycling. because nearly no one is clean, no one will say a single word. it's pretty sad.

so now that lance is gone, does that mean there's some patriotism left for guys like levi leipheimer, george hincapie or floyd landis? i mean they are serious contenders for the victory now. :)

I love the guilty until proven innocent line of reasoning!

What drugs were they? Advil, viagra and some cough drops? link?

It looks like Vinokourov was not part of the scandal. The favorites according to the futures markets are now Popovych, Landis, Vinokourov and Valverde, in that order.

Well, the shrunken testicles would certainly help with cycling, but the bulging muscles and increase in head size would seem to make the rider less aerodynamic, so wouldn't the negatives outweight the positives?

Vinokourov is out..not because of doping, but most of his team is on that list. You need 6 riders to make a team, and they don't have enough. I thought he would win it this year, but it looks like he is getting screwed.
