Anyone still following this? Now they caught Winokurow. I am pretty sure that none of the top 10 racers is clean, nor has been clean for the last 10 years.
Yeah, it's too bad that nobody cares about cycling in the United States, or it might draw some attention away from the NBA and NFL This proves once again that Lance Armstrong is the greatest cyclist of all time.... ...He won SEVEN Tour De Frances and never got caught! Now, a cyclist will be lucky if he wins one time before getting caught. Lance could make major bucks as a "doping consultant", giving cyclists advice on the CORRECT way to dope...bunch of amateurs.
I'm sort of following it, but the whole doping kind of turned me away. I mean i know they all use, so why make such a big deal out of it, just let the best compete, and see what happens doping or no doping.
I mean, I know it's a big deal, but doping is so entrenched into sports(not just cycling) I don't particularly care anymore. As long as it's entertaining, I don't particularly care as long as the athletes are smart enough to be discreet about it. I'm sure if Lance ever needs money, he can always be a "coach" for some cyclist to pass on his skills. Not only did he get away with 7 titles with a squeaky clean record, but he did so under a lot of scrutiny. I mean, everyone was trying to bust him, and got nothing.
I agree with this. If it was just one guy, I'd understand the outrage, but when you have a pretty sneaking suspicion that a good number of people in a sport are doping, I can't really muster up much care.
is it possible to finish the tour de france without drugs and doping? that's a long way to ride a bike.
You and I are on totally opposite ends of the spectrum with regards to caring...........I just knew my comment would get under your skin. Just 'messin wit ya
Rasmussen out of Tour Yellow jersey wearer Michael Rasmussen has sensationally been kicked out of the Tour de France by his Rabobank team for missing drug tests. The Danish front-runner had seemingly weathered the storm over missing four out of competition dope tests in the past 18 months and had won Wednesday's stage to all but seal overall victory. Rasmussen had won two stages during the Tour, though, his presence at the race was questioned by several officials and from the race organisers as well. His departure leaves young Spaniard Alberto Contador in the lead with Australian Cadel Evans in second. http://www.worldnewsaustralia.com.au/region.php?id=138684®ion=3
I just wonder how absolutely stupid do these guys have to be to even try? They know the scrutiny that is on them this year. What the hell do they thing they're going to get away with. Is there a maximum IQ to be in the Tour? If so, it's well under 90. There's no other excuse other than to say that these guys are r****ded.
Lance is by no means clean, either. He just knew how to beat the system. There are a lot of rumors in Austin about him.
LOL, the apologists will be here soon to attack you... Since I now believe that all the top 10 or top 20, if not the top 100, were doped, Armstrong was still the best athlete or had the "best" athlete/doctor combination. However, if there was one clean rider on the Tour, he got cheated by Armstrong as well as all the others who doped.
Well, to be fair they are just rumors. As far as I know no one has come forth and said that he saw/sold/watched Lance do anything. Lance either beat a field of dopers clean or he beat a field of dopers doped - either way he was still better. There are rumors about you and Gumbi but I'll wait till the pictures come out before I believe them.
Prove it or let it go. I don't buy that Lance was able to skate by for 7 titles with all the testing he underwent, but nobody else could do the same. Why is it that everybody else seems to get caught? Are they just dumber than Armstrong? Has there ever been any proof at all or just unsubstantiated allegations? I don't see a preponderance of the evidence indicating that he's guilty, much less beyond a reasonable doubt. He's innocent until proven guilty in my eyes.
