AUSTIN: Teenagers Arrested In Attack On Disabled Student Five teen-agers have been arrested after police say the boys beat and kicked a special education student at a bus stop and videotaped the entire episode. Police say on December 19, 2002 the five videotaped themselves searching for a victim at school, then later at a city bus stop where they found the 16-year-old victim. Investigators say the five taunted the student for several minutes, then started kicking and punching the victim on his head and body. The victim was treated for head injuries and pain and returned to school this week. Charged with assault and engaging in organized criminal activity are Marques Berry, Perminder Klair and Donavan Chapman, all 18. They remain jailed on 15-thousand dollars each. Two juveniles were also arrested on similar charges. They remain at the Travis County juvenile detention facility. 'Gee, let's five of us show how we can beat-up one special ed kid' Disgusting. From what I understand, the victim was harrassed first, then ultimately knocked unconscious. THe Donavan kids was supposed to start interviewing for scholarships soon. Adios to those.
Juvenile detention? They're 18, I thought that was an adult. Throw them in big boy prison. These pricks deserve a decade of being sodomized.
Er.. should have read the article more carefully. Heck, through the juveniles in there too anyway. Bastards.
Further in the article one of the parents defends their kid saying something like, "he's just like any other kid...he's a good kid...etc." i'm calling bullcrap on that! how in the world could you make excuses for your kid for an act like this? my kid would get the biggest of all butt-whoopings if he treated any other human being this way.
Sick, totally sick. I hope they get the book thrown at them. I also hope that poor kid's parents can restrain themselves... if (and when) they get out on bail. It would be hard not to go after them. Very hard.
I'm taking a class on crime. We learned today judges in Travis County are lax. I wish this had occured in Williamson County. Then the boys would get the book and a couple of rocks thrown at them.
Exactly. As protective as parents may be of their children, I imagine his parents are even more. Poor kid doesn't have enough challenges ahead of him, he needs to get beat-up? Makes me ill. I hope he handles it ok and doesn't fear strangers for the rest of his life.
My little brother has special needs and if this ever happened to him, there would be hell to pay. ASSHOLES!!!
