Didn't know where else to ask this. At the game, it looked like Dirk was complaining about a call and near the end touched the referee he was talking about to try and get his point across.

Not to promote any kind of conspiracy theories or anything, but didn't Yao do this and get a T earlier in the season?

Isn't it an automatic technical? Just curious.

The jerk ref that T'ed Yao up sure thinks its an automatic. No one else calls it though. That technical that Yao got was just so random and ridiculous. I think it was at home, too.

yea...u can't be nice about it like Yao. You gotta really grab him. It helps if your owner pays him out of pocket too...

Shoot, if you're a Rocket, you don't even have to touch a ref to get a technical...just ask Mutombo who was called for the infamous "smiling at the Ref" technical foul earlier this season.

It's supposed to be, but it happens alll the time. There are very few refs that actually make that call. I remember once when Dream was tossed for putting his hand on a ref's shoulder just like Yao did. However, most times refs just walk away if it bothers them.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was Sacramento.
