So I have been seeding this one 7 gig file for quite a while now. It is in my default shared folder. I want to move it to an external hard drive. However is there a way to reconnect it and continue to share it after it is moved?

Just download the torrent again and set the location to where you moved the file.

Copy it back to your download folder and download the torrent again. It should see that you have already downloaded the file and automatically start seeding.

    What program do you use?

    In uTorrent:
    1) Stop the file, but leave it in the torrent list.
    2) Move the file to where you want it (DL folder to external HD).
    3) Go back to the torrent list and right-click the file in the torrent list, select "Advanced" and then "Set Download Location." This will allow you to tell uTorrent where the program is so that it can find it.

    Hope that helps.
