Looks like it'll be an interesting race down to the Oscar nominations.

Los Angeles-About Schmidt
Boston-The Pianist
New York-Far From Heaven
National Board of Review-The Hours
AFI's Top Ten: About a Boy (the 2nd outstanding Nick Hornby novel turned movie to make this list), Adaptation, About Schmidt, The Hours, The Two Towers, Chicago, Gangs of New York, Antwone Fisher, The Quiet American, and Frida

FWIW, I can't even come close to making my pick yet seeing as how I haven't seen most of these movies yet. However, right now, it'd be a tossup between About a Boy, Far From Heaven, and Tadpole.

Yeah, I hate that too. I hate it that some of these will be released on the 27th, but only in NY/LA, meaning those of us who don't live in those towns have to wait a few more weeks to see them.

For those amazing movie reviewers who have yet to receive the honor to see these movies pre-release, it really sucks to have to wait and make the top 10 lists mid-January.
