My top 8 teams in EC:

    1. Magic

They are the best team this preseason. I think they may have the best record for regular season.

    2. Heat

It will take time for them to know each other, and to play well as a team. I think they could defeat the magic in playoffs. But, the magic will have the best regular season record.

    3. Celtics

I think they will have better record than the heat in the 1st half of the season. But, because of age and injury, the heat will take over the 2nd seed in the 2nd half of the season.

    4. Hawks

They have the talents. But, I always feel that they lack something...

    5. Bucks

    Jennings + Healthy Bogut +...

    6. Bulls

    TT's defense + Rose + half Boozer + ...

    7. Cavs

I still think they will make playoffs. No.1 team in last regular season minus James should still make playoffs. BTW, I pick them for the No. 7 also because I want to watch the heat vs. cavs playoff series. ;)

    8. Bobcats

    Larry Brown's defense + ...
BTW, I want MJ's team to make playoffs.

i pretty much agree with the teams but may not be in that particular order.

I think that the knicks and wizards can become surprise teams that sneak into the playoffs

If the Cavs make the playoffs, Byron Scott should win COTY.

I agree although I'd switch up the last four seeds. I think Cleveland will contend for the 8th seed but will probably be on the outside looking in.

Knicks + hopefully the Rockets finish second in the west and move down from the 26th to the 17th pick.

Cavs have no chance of making playoffs.

I think Heat will win 70 games. But not necessarily win the championship, kinda like the Patriots from a few years back when they lost to the Giants (hopefully the Rox will be in that Giants underdog role).

    1. Heat
    2. Magic
    3. Celtics
    4. Bulls
    5. Hawks
    6. Bucks
    7. Wizards -(My surprise team, their a young team with an explosive backcourt of Wall, Arenas, and Young. They also have young bigs inside that can score and defend with McGee, Blatche, and Yi. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up higher in the ranking.)
    8. Bobcats
