As the title states your favorite 5 basic cable channels. That means no HBO/Showtime etc since those cost extra in no particular order Discovery History Channel Food Network CNN Cartoon Network I left off NBATV since a lot of places do not have that as a basic cable channel otherwise I would replace Cartoon Network with NBATV
my fave used to be national geographic. but apparently comcast thinks that's a premium channel. POS mother****ers.
Fox Sports - astros games Spike - UFC ESPN - Sports Center Golf Channel - Golf Discovery - The Deadliest Catch
ESPN Cartoon Network (Family Guy and King of the Hill) TBS (Saved by the Bell reruns, The Office, Family Guy, etc) TNT (NBA coverage) CNN (news)
national geographic comedy central espn MSNBC Food i like palladia, but i think thats only HD subscribers
I can't pick just 5. Here are the ones I can't do without or find myself watching most of the time. In no particular order : Animal Planet CNBC National Geographic Science Channel Discovery Channel Food Network The Learning Channel The Travel Channel History Channel TV Land
give me 6, cause the last 2 are tied ESPN (mostly just when NBA or NFL games are on nowadays.. not sure what's going on) TNT TBS FOOD TOON (Cartoon Network) USA (i watch too many Law & Order / House / whatever reruns)
In the order I usually look them up on the guide. USA (Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, The Starter Wife) TNT (Raising the Bar, HawthoRNe, Saving Grace) AMC (Movies- mostly good ones) Discovery (Cash Cab, How It's Made, Pitchmen, Mythbusters, Timewarp) DIY (This Old House, Ask This Old House) macalu - Time Warner thinks NatGeo's too fancy schmancy also... Bastards.
Without The Daily Show and The Colbert Report my head would explode from all the pent up absurdity. So when the hell are they going to be HD?
I've been amazed that they aren't for a long time. Hell, the tour de france on versus beat them to it
No love for A&E?? A&E (Intervention, First 48, Investigative Reports) AMC (always good movies) VH1 (The Soup, Best Week Ever, all those I Love The 70's, 80's, 90's type shows, all the Best ____ Songs shows, etc.) TBS (Seinfeld reruns, King of Queens reruns) Spike TV (they always show Star Wars movies) History Channel (love their WWII documentaries) LMN (all those amazing Lifetime movies) OK, that last one was a joke...
Comedy Central (The Daily Show) USA (Psych, Burn Notice, Monk, House, NCIS) Cartoon Network, Boomerang Nickelodeon Fox Sports Southwest? (Rockets, Astros)
TBS - Seinfeld, The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Yes Dear, Home Improvement, etc. Travel Channel - Andrew Zimmern, Anthoney Bordain, Samantha Brown Comedy Central - The Colbert Report, Reno 911, old South Park FSN - Rockets, Astros FX - Watchable movies and tv show re-runs.
TCM - great movies, no commercials and robert osborne with the trivia before and after the movie - awesome. other staples are BBC America Comedy Central when they actually show standups ESPN Showtime - original series are good HBO is probably good too, but i don't get that.
If HBO is considered basic cable, add that to my list. Gotta love Curb, Entourage, Band of Brothers, John Adams, etc.
