I DVR'd the Nets game, watching it now. Clyde said Aaron Brooks is breaking into the top 5 upper echelon of NBA point guards.

    Is that what you see?

Or is that the homer in Clyde?

As much as I love Aaron, I can name u 10 PGs better (in no particular order):

    Upper Echelon (top 5):
    Paul
    Williams
    Nash
    Kidd
    Billups

    Second Tier:
    Parker
    Rose (top tier potential)
    Miller
    Bibby
    Arenas
    Rondo

Third Tier (I'd Put Aaron in this category):
    Ford
    Curry
    Calderon
Jennings (big time potential for top tier)
    Felton
    Flynn

Disagree with regard to Bibby, Miller, and Arenas.

    Statistically speaking, Aaron is:

    4th in scoring
    19th in FG %
    18th in 3PT %
    16th in FT %
    19th in assists
    45th in assist/turnover ratio

    Among NBA point guards.

He's ranks 21st among PG's according to Hollinger's Player Effciency Rating.

Hence he is a top 5 scoring point guard. Therefore, Clyde was right somewhat!!!

Arenas went through some trouble this year but before this year it was a non-argument. He should return next year.

Bibby has been dipping but he is the starting PG on one of the better Leastern conference teams

Miller, has not been everything he was expected to be for Portland, but I think he has been pretty good. MAYBE move him to the third tier. I still think he is better than Aaron.

BTW I forgot Nelson, he deserves a second second tier spot.

Wow, I am off my game.

Don't consider Reke a PG (I think Udrih is the starter right?)

But Westbrook and Davis yes. Add Davis to my third tier and Westbrook I don't know, second?

Evans was starting at PG, when Martin was there. He moved to SG, after the trade.

Weak argument. By that logic, you have to name Derek Fisher to the first tier cause he's the starting pg for the champs. Brooks belongs in the 2nd tier, IMO.

Wow did not realize how bad Bibby's stats were. Okay fine, take him off the list period. I am stuck in the past there. Do not watch any Atlanta basketball, just kinda assumed Bibby was the leader of their team.

Evans is NOT a PG. He is not playing PG, he does not have PG skills.

And Curry belongs in the third tier right now. Give him at least another year to prove himself. Has not been consistent enough for the second tier.

Still not convinced Brooks is in the same class as Rose/Parker/Arenas/Miller.

Evans does have some PG skills. But he is not a PG.

Instead of everybody picking on my list, why not you guys just make your own lists?

All I wanted to do was to prove that there are at least 10 PGs better than Brooks and I did just that. You homers really overrate guys. Brooks is a second tier PG? COME ON. Only on a Rockets board does anybody actually believe that.

Well no you didn't prove that there are at least 10 PGs better than Brooks, thats the reason WHY people are picking on your list.
