Offseason is slow, so let's have it. Defense is rarely talked about, but it is what wins games. In no particular order, PG: Rondo, Paul, Hinrich, Lowry, Kidd SG: Tony Allen, Thabo, Wade, Brewer SF: Lebron, Deng, Iggy, Battier, George PF: KG, Noah, Hayes, Duncan, Ibaka C: DH, Chandler, Bogut, Okafor, Joel Anthony Thoughts?
You forgot a shooting guard! Truthfully, I had a tough time filling that last spot too. My list... PG: Lowry, Rondo, Paul, Westbrook, Holiday. SG: Allen, Brewer, Wade, Sefolosha, Kobe. SF: Lebron, Deng, Iggy, Wallace, Pierce. PF: KG, Hayes, Ibaka, Duncan, Josh Smith. C: Howard, Chandler, Bogut, Bynum, Noah.
Nobody who only plays D when they feel like it(probably 5 games total out of a year) shoudl be included on a list of best defenders. kobe *used* to play pretty good D, not so much anymore.
I really couldn't think of another starting shooting guard who's a plus on defense. I probably could've given it to Paul George since he spends most of his time there, or maybe Afflalo.
PG: Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Jonny Flynn, Nobody, Nobody SG: Courtney Lee, Kevin Martin, Nobody, Nobody, Nobody SF: Marcus Morris, Chase Budinger, Terrence Williams, DeMarre Carroll, Chandler Parsons PF: Patrick Patterson, Luis Scola, Jordan Hill, Marcus Cousin, Nobody C: Chuck Hayes, Hasheem Thabeet, Donetas Montejunas, Nobody, Nobody
You only listed 4 players for SG, unless Tony Allen counts for two, and how can you forget Courtney Lee?!
Kidd has slowed a step or two, I don't think he's quite up there anymore. I'd put Westbrook instead. Same could be said for KG and Shane, but those two are definitely still on the list. I'm not crazy about Joel Anthony being on the list, maybe JaVale McGee instead?
