Not a bad list but Barbosa and Ben Gordon are both better than Terry, IMO.

I would say terry is underrated and barbosa would possibly be 6th. Ben Gordon doesn't play PG so he's not a combo guard.

You're right about Gordon. He so seldom gets minutes at the point yet I still consider him a combo guard for some reason. I guess it's because I think back to his UConn days when he was essentially the definition of a combo guard. Even in the NBA now he still gets a few minutes at the point, has the skills and ability to run the point if need be and still gets about four assists per game but it still was probably a bad comparison. I don't know why, I guess he'll just always be a combo guard to me.

As for Barbosa. I think you absolutely have to put him ahead of Terry. Barbosa is easily one of the toughest assignments in the league with his skills and quickness. He's nearly unguardable.

I think you have to determine what a combo guard is first off. For example McGrady led the Rockets in assist this year yet he's considered a SG and not a combo guard. Is a combo guard a player who runs point but can put up a lot of points? Because if thats the case then would your list change if McGrady were to suit it up next year as PG but still put up 25 a game and average six assist?

a combo guard is someone who plays the Point guard and shooting guard position.

T-Mac didn't play PG last season.

    how often though?

McGrady brings the ball up only in clutch situations and rarely if it isn't a clutch situation.

I've never really liked the term "combo guard". The NBA doesn't distinguish between point guard and shooting guard.

    Gilbert Arenas is a guard

    Steve Nash is a guard

    J-Kidd = Pure Point-Guard.

If he can't shoot why would he play shooting guard?

Not a bad list. I might put Joe Johnson and Brandon Roy tied for 5th with Terry. In a few years B-roy may be one of the best combo guards.

    Wade

    Arenas

    Baron

    Iverson

total homer response here but what the heck..

    Steve Francis

back in his first go around with the rox he was the ultimate combo guard.. bring the ball up, break down the D and dish..or drive down the lane and dunk on their big man.I miss that Steve..hopefully he has some left in the tank..

The question is... Are OJ Mayo and/or Derek Rose better than Terry?
