I had all three of those and had completely forgotten about merlin and starbird. Thanks for the flashback.

Merlin was great. I think my Merlin is at my mom's house and actually still works. It's cool that someone else remembers that.

I was born in 1980, and actually played with my father's Merlin. Great toy. Blackjack 18 was my GAME.

As long as you weren't playing with your father's merkin.

Man, the Johnny Seven war gun was awesome. I forgot all about that gun. This gun would make Roxran happy.

Site must be Brittish. They talk about and have a have a photo of the Palitoy Death Stear instead of Kenner.

I feel deprived. If I counted correctly, I remember owning/playing with less than 10 of the top 100.

    hmmmm...

Fuzzy Felt. I never used mine to make rude pictures. Of course, the theme of my set was "Bible Stories", so it would have been extra rude to misuse it.

Weebles. Those ruled. Although they never would balance upside down, though I kept trying...

Viewmasters were cool... makes me want to go see if my mother still has mine. Something about the lighting effect and those pictures...

Perfection. Used to scare the daylights out of me when the pieces popped out of the board. "Superfection" was better... it had the added challenge of putting the shapes together first.

Shrinky Dinks. Cute, fun, and... what were you supposed to do with them when they were done? They weren't good for much. The best ones were the "fashion design" ones. At least you could get creative with those.

Spirograph. Why are they making fun of Spirograph? You could keep me occupied for hours with that. (and it's not easy to keep an only child occupied) Combines a natural artistic tendency with a little wheel to actually keep your design looking symmetrical.

Speak & spell... some of my friends had it. I didn't need it - it wouldn't have told me anything I didn't already know. :D

Even though this was a British list, I have played with about 22 of them.

i counted 24 of the toys that i had but most of them were in the second half. i haven't even heard of most of the stuff in the top 30 or so.

i remember i always wanted that mouse trap game cause it just looked cool. i don't think i've ever even played it though.

i definitely played alot of mastermind and kerplunk and perfection also scared the crap out of me, though i think it did to most kids.
