Perhaps, but it doesn't really matter, since he's in the midst of a dribble until he grabs the ball with both hands. Once he grabs the ball, he has a two-count to come to a stop (see: http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_10.html?nav=ArticleList). Thus, he wasn't really traveling. Besides, refs usually won't call a travel unless the player is traveling to gain an advantage over a defender, which was not the case here. There was no defender within 10 feet of him. To me, the bigger issue in this vid is that it shows the red light coming on over the backboard (thus signifying the end of the period) while there us still 0.1 seconds left. Good thing C-Bud got the shot off at 0.2.
Haha, ya he definitely travelled...i think the ref was concerned with the time on the clock more than with Chase's his feet so he missed the call.
Really? A put-back dunk better than 1) a steal 2) a beautiful, and fast/slick I might add, behind the back dribble, 3) a sense to hurry (time running out) and 4) a stop and pop from the 3 point line with seconds on the clock and MAKE IT? That is better? Really? I better reset my perception of great basketball
Damn, thanks for the vid, I missed the game. Fell asleep recooperating from pneumonia, Nyquil knocks me out man.
It says top 10 plays, it doesn't say top 10 intelligent basketball plays. It is based entirely on aesthetics. That dunk was FIERCE. Was chase's play extremely intelligent / aware basketball? Uh, yes. Was it as aesthetically pleasing as that dunk? Please, I'm a homer and you're killing me.
STEAL. AVOID DEFENDER. PRESENCE OF MIND. SWEET JUMPER. AT THE BUZZER. SCORE. THREE POINTS (not two). Not good?
lol at the NBA draft for putting him down so far because he dominated volleyball. the kid is a straight up winner at whatever he does... second coming of Larry Bird, but not as rude.
