PER is a pretty good indicator, but again, nothing is the best.

PER is a good indicator if the players are on-the-ball contributors (not intangible guys like Battier) and you don't take defense and efficiency into account. I'm definitely surprised Scola isn't higher than he is.

 

What is there to agree/disagree? PER is a stat and not a opinion.

 

So is every other statistic in the game, except wins and losses.

 

Who has a PER > 20 and TS% >60% playing the 1-3 position? Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Manu Ginobolli, Steve Nash and Kevin Martin.

Good company. Just wish KM could fill the stat sheet more in terms of rebounds, assists and steals.

We have 3 players in the top50 PER-wise: Miller, Scola and Martin. The Lowry of late will be in there too, I guess. That's a nice team, PER-wise.

Anyway, we are getting better and better after the rough start.

 

It's amazing to me Wade's FG% is 50 even though he's had some horrific shooting games this season so far.

Westbrook is in some high company at #3.

Efficiency is a hallmark of K-Mart's career but he is too easy to stop in the 4th quarter of hard-fought games.

 

If he could do that he would be top 5 in PER.


Brad Miller, of our guys, has been the most pleasant surprise in this list. When we signed him I thought there was no way he could have a PER this high, hopefully he keeps it up.

 

He's shooting 61% so far in the month of December!

And the "do you agree?" question really doesn't make sense. What's there to agree about? Those PER statistics aren't opinions. Its like asking whether I agree with a list of the top 10 in PPG.

I would be interesting to compare his FG% with and without LeBron on the court.

i think bosh should also get a lot of credit. wade plays a lot more with bosh and he opens up a lot of space.

in fact, lebron and wade so far this season have better +/- when bosh is on the floor than when off

but here's a great stat to see the benefits that wade is reaping:
from synergy sports, about 49.2% of wade's shot attempts have been around the basket (a huge jump from 38.7% last year)
