Most of these aren't "dirty plays", IMHO. Most of them are athletes/coaches losing their cool and starting fights. The groin punch (which is really, really low) was a great example of a "dirty play". He did it thinking he could break the rules and still make a play, not to start a fight. To me, true "dirty players" are worse than most of these guys. It's the desire to get away with it, to deceive the refs and gain advantage illegally, that makes it really sleazy. As violent and brutal as the Kermit Washington attack was, I doubt he thought he could slip it by the refs. Nonetheless, thanks for the share. I'd forgotten some of those.
