    1. Call a dentist make an appointment

    2. Buy a 5th of Wild Turkey.

    3. Drink until you pass out.

4.Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the dentist can see you.

LOL, Mulder beat me to it.

That reminds me of the Flintstones episode in which Barney had a toothache and Fred tied a string around Barney's tooth and attached the other end to the antenna of his car and he drove off. So, you can always try that, River.;)

Seriously, sorry to hear about that - dental pains are never a laughing matter.:(

I know this sounds bad, but MIDOL does the trick, had a coworker notice that a tooth bothered me and he suggested MIDOL and I said what the F!@#. Nevertheless, I went to the store and bought a bottle and until my dentist Appt., it kept me pain free!:D

When one is in the grip of a terrible toothache - and the pain is resonating through your skull - beating a great and terrible rhythm against your VERY SOUL, you'd do pretty much anything to stop the pain.

    Even Midol.

Depends on the Midol. There are different kinds. One of them has acetaminophen (tylenol), caffeine, and pyrilamine maleate (diuretic) as active ingredients. I doubt any of those will do womanly things to you he-men.

(and the only reason I know this stuff is because I used to work in a pharmacy - not because I take the stuff... *cough*)

Hehe, your in luck I just started dental school so I can give some advice.

Common causes of tooth ache: exposed dentin, caries (cavity), pulpitis, apical periodontitis, cracked tooth syn., occlusal trauma, periodontal abcess, acute necrotizing gingivitis, pericoronitis, neuralgia.

Not knowing exactly what your case is, I am hesitant to give you specific medicine names. The best advise has already been posted, take some advil or tylenol.

And if that is not enough go to your local pharmacy tomorrow and ask them if there is an over the counter oral pain reliever, which is more potent then oragel.

    Hope this helps.

Killling yourself is the only way to ease the pain...

I had a toothache so Bad I guzzled half a bottle of orajel until my throat numbed up and I couldn't breathe, then i took 4 advils, put it on a heating pad... nothing worked... Kept me up all night in intense SEARING, THROBBING, NON-STOPPED pain.. some even compare it up there with the labor pains a woman goes through. I would have probably taken cyanide if offered to me.
