cmon...where is the rocket heart right now? finish the season strong!! indy game was a poor poor reflection on the players
I'd rather tank these remaining games to get a better pick. You could flame me, and say "NEVAR TANK BLAHHHHH," but the reality is, we aren't making it to the playoffs. So why win meaningless games, when we can theoretically get better for next year?
NBA needs to cut it's season back about 15 or so games, or even 20. I think in general this is how it is. Half the league is competing and half isnt. Also, the Rockets are in the half still competing...we just always seem to have problems against the Pacers.
Start a NBA-NIT. I'm just kidding. I agree though, for the most part, lately, the performance has been poor. But, losing certainly doesn't hurt the draft potential...so whatever.
We will be competitive against the the best count on that.. We will see the effort when we play Utah and the other playoff West teams.
I hope that after this off-season someone seriously steps up as a club house leader. We need someone who is recognizable and has the respect from everyone. Someone ideally with deep playoff experience, all-star talent, and is hopefully the best player on the team. Yao although a great player just doesn't seem like the fierce type of locker room leader. With all these new players coming in we need to establish the work hard ethic that this team has had in the past. The day this team loses heart and starts playing like the Knicks or other bottom feeders is the day I drop my fan status.
The league should consider scheduling rivalry games the last part of the season -- Houston may not make the playoffs, but it's always nice to beat Utah or Dallas.
If you want competitive, play the young guys, most veterans know that this season is over and they are playing out th string. Most....but not the Scola and Battiers of the world....but the rest do. DD
Did you forget one game earlier in Boston. They showed plenty of heart there. They stunk it up in the Indy game, but there have been very few of those this year.
