BTW great game tonight. I saw them in person. I so seldom see them in person being a cheap skate sp?

I have been advised by my family physician to find a way to blow off steam.

After tonight's game I am now thinking of trying out? for the Red Rowdies. Is it still possible to do so for this season? I know there are various threads re such Rowdies, but I doubt they answer the specific question at hand.

I believe some of the Clutch gang are actually Red Rowdies.

Any relatively relevant answers would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they had all the tryouts before the season started, sad to say.

u can try out before the game around 6-630pm in the La Branch entrance before every game, or just wear crazy red, stand in the front entrance and maybe u get noticed for tickets.

Ok, anybody know about the tryout deadline for next deadline.

Anybody know who I could e-mailor phone numberr or whatever to find the deadline for next years. tryouts? Preferably not e-mail as I usually prefer to keep most of my accounts relatively private.

Just try out for each of the remaining 8 or so regular season home games and you should be able to get into the Rowdies section I would think.

Next year the Rowdies are not guaranteed to happen as far as free season tickets, so now is your chance. Show up @ 6PM for the remainder of the home games and prove you are really rowdy and you will get noticed. Good luck!

Thanks so much. You can't get a better response than that IMHO -- though some have accused me of just fake modesty or even excessive attempts to be funny.

I certainly intend to try out ASAP as my schedule permits. Especially, since as a cheap skate sp?, this sounds like the best time to do so, rather than risk the possible price increase of next year.

BTW I am on a long deserved (IMHO) vacation till next Monday; then back to the grind stone.

yea just show up early, or just get noticed at the front of the entrance, I got noticed today when I was already in the building, but also helps that the head Rowdy that give out the tixs kinda knows me from the viewing parties and the other times I've hanged out with the Rowdies :)

Well, as my mom used to say: " All you can do is your best".

I don't have your connections re the head Rowdy etc. .

Any other tips to increase my chances of beating out the competition.

Obviously if you show up the same day as me, you will beat me out if it gets down to you or me.

BTW my kid is home on Spring Break, from college, and to the best of my present knowlege has returned to a near- by sp? room trying desperately or even perhaps contentedly to beat one of those stupid computer games. Thank God it is NOT one of those on line ones that can never be truly beaten or he might fail to do enough studying prior to returning to UT Austin.

Look I consider myself a relatively open minded parent BUT NOT STUDYING SUFFICIENTLY FOR SCHOOL WORK DUE IMMEDIATELY AFTER BREAK!!!!
Damn, if nothing else it is risky behavior on his part . If nothing else it might
effect? or is it affect? whatever his GPA, for God's sake.

Roughly 5-10 minutes, ago he walked through the room I currently am posting from. I showed him the very recent post re how to try out. So far he has declined to go with me to the tryout.

not really, everytime I see him, he doesn't give me tixs all the time, I've been in the Rowdies like 3 times this year by connections. Other times, he sees me but doesnt give it to me, which is understandable to let everybody get a chance to sit there. The other 2 times, I won tixs from a viewing party, and got tixs with the mass ticket giveaway for the Raptors game.

As stated above, just go to the main LaBranch entrance before the games, and just stand out from everybody else, just look for a rep in the front standing on one of the outside benches with the a small group of the Rowdies that makes u do some rowdy things to get tixs. In most cases, like the slow games (coming up, Bucks, Warriors, and Hornets) they may just give them to you, because there is not much that show up. If that fails, get a $10 tix, get noticed inside around the entrance way.
