Just looking at the scores and it looks like Denver are becoming are very good defensive team (Den 46 - Orl 29 at the half).
No Bosh. No Calderon. I can't believe the Raptors came back and took that game from the Spurs. First time this season I've seen them win a close one at home.
I only caught the 4th quarter, how many points up were the Spurs? I was surprised enough that it was close, then the camera panned to Bosh and Calderon in street clothes and I couldn't believe it. Kind of makes you feel better to be a Rocket's fan right now. Not that good though, of course...
Utah is choking this game away missing their FTs. In other news, Lamar Odom has been playing CRAZY good this past week.
With the way the standings are now, the Rockets are better served with an LA win. They don't have a shot at catching them, but need to keep utah away from stealing their playoff spot.
Actually the Spurs never really had a big lead. They led by 8 in the 4th but choked it away. It was a close game throughout. I thought the Spurs would have pulled away since the Raptors were so short handed.
Utah is going to make the playoffs imo. They've had injuries to Deron Williams, AK, Millsap, I think Okur too, and Boozer has been out all year. They're dealing with injuries better than most teams (including the Rockets). It's going to be either Dallas or Phoenix that misses the playoffs...hopefully the Rockets can right the ship.
I agree. still it's better to put more distance between the team closer to you than one you have a slim chance of catching.
If I would have to pick between the Mavs and Suns, the Suns would be out. Terry Porter sucks as a coach and I think they have quit on him.
while I felt the same way, it was refreshing to see the Lakers actually lose a game on the road, taking some wind out their sails going into the break... now we have Utah clawing at us from behind. I'm thinking it's between Denver, New Orleans and Portland as our best 1st round matchup...
talent wise phoenix should make it over a terry less dallas. that said, you are right they have chemistry issues and if they trade amare they are toast.
That was an exciting finish! Besides Ukur's cold-blooded 3-pointer, the Jazz did everything possible to blow that game. I guess clutch FTs aren't Deron Williams' strong suit. I don't know if this game was an example of an inspired effort from the Jazz or the Lakers sagging before the All-Star break.
I think NO is a clear 3rd on that list if they are healthy. denver and portland are like 1a and 1b to me. I think houston can handle both teams.
o well i guess i should stop watching the spurs on yahoo sports at work it worked out last year when we beat phoneix in that amazing first game and beat hornets in game 7 when i was on yahoo haha
