pissed me off. Mobley had a nice little stretch at the end of the game where he got to the line, but going to a guy who was 5-17 at the time is not a good game plan. Add that to fact he was guarded by a very good defender in Posey.I only watched the 2nd half, but whenever Mobley missed or made a mistake, the Nuggets capitalized EVERY time! Matt Bullard should be shot. The guy is a 6ft10 stick taking up space on the court, and killing the rockets on D. Nice job covering Raef at the end there Bull. I was really pissed off when I saw Matt chuckin it up with raef after the play. Shows how much Bullard wanted this one.I wont even mention cuttino's shot at the end where he jumped when his back was to the basket, turned, and made me cringe when it hit the side of the backboard.

You have summed up everything I needed to say about this game.

I agree, they shouldn't have been going to Mobley as much as they did. He's shooting sucked tonight. Like I pointed out on my thread, the 4th quarter should have been Steve's quarter.

It should have been the Rocket's quarter. Instead, it became a "foul good shooters" quarter.

Mo T played his butt off and so did Mooch..Why did Rudy go away from a red hot MO?..I thought the Rockets were going to close them out with three minutes to go ....arggggh!..horrible from the line and we also gave up way to many open jumpers. How do you leave Raef that wide open?..Mobes,ISO,ISO,ISO..what a jack he was tonight.(he was pressing and forced some shots)In addition where was Shandon?

    Whatever happened to TEAM basketball?

Another thing I wanted to add, I cant begin to explain how pissed off I was to see Moochie Norris as the first option in a tight game like this one tonight. I dont care if he was successful alot. He got lucky on a few drives to the hoop. If all his dribbling to set up his signature headfake crossover doesnt work, he's screwed! Run 24 high or something for gods sake. At least you have options then.

Cat didn't cost us this game, TEAM DEFENSE cost us this game! People are complaining about Cat taking shots away from Francis like he is an innocent victim. Francis is the freaking ball-handler why doesn't HE take the freaking shots!!?? It's like we win great, we lose it's Cat's fault. It's the TEAM'S fault!

Why was Carlos Rogers replaced by Matt Bullard at a time when a defensive stop was so critical?

Rocksmillenium, you are right Steve is the ballhandler, and guess who tells him who to pass to? RUDY T!!! The coaching staff is there for a reason. Rudy thought somehow that Mobley on Posey was a mismatch. I dont doubt the fact that Mobley is a good player, but he wasnt tonight.

That's a good point Tacoma. Francis might have to take matters into his own hands every once in a while. I'm not saying doing whatever he wants all the time, but creating his own shots here and there like most superstars do.

O and yea, team defense was a big factor. The big factor was CERTAIN players were not rotating correctly off the double team, MATT BULLARD, and giving up easy 3's to a good 3 point shooting team. I saw very good help defense to tell you the truth. Nice pickups on mcdeyess when he drove baseline and better job of defending the pick and roll.

Im amazed that Francis being the third option behind Moochie managed to score over 20 points.

Yes! I would like to know this. The game was tied. They needed a stop, not a 3. Typical Rudy coaching. I really wish he could realize that Bullard is 3rd sting material. I also would like for him to stop inflating Cuttino's head. Cuttino is nothing more than an average shooting guard. He has proven that to me. Occasionally, he will have a good game. Then , he will follow that game with a string of 5-23 performances.

I agree he should try to create his own shot. But mobley failed to pass the ball out when he was unsuccesful getting to the hoop. For Steve to get his own shots it must come in the flow of the offense where the ball comes to him and he just clears it out. Trust me, he tried to get the ball, but alot of people on our team just couldnt give him the ball and the Nuggets did a good job of keeping it out of his hands. Rudy needs to realize this and set up a new gameplan at that point.

Francis will not be a superstar until he takes his team to the second round of the post season, or better. Defense is my biggest gripe. Just horrible defense played today. Some of the worst I have ever seen.

How not clutch is MT? The guy was on fire all day and then could not hit a shot when it counted in the fourth quarter. I can't wait for Hakeem to come back. Some clutchness could help.

Its not like the rockets arent trying, because they are. They hustled their asses off tonight. They just make key mistakes here and there that kill them. Every team makes defensive lapses like that, it just seems like the rockets make them at the wrong time.
