    How are they "similar"?

    Aldridge is a PF who occasionally posts up but is mostly a jump shooting PF, and he is excellent at it. He cant dribble and he is not a playmaker.

    Odom is a SF who can dribble, penetrate, rebound, defend and make plays for himself or others. He can play multiple positions and can do a little bit of everything when his head is in the game. Alas, he is Mr. Inconsistent.

    Yeah I do not see how they are similar players. I think Odom is better right now because he has a greater overall skillset.

    you know what I hear you on that... the reason I chose those 2 PFs was that both can post up like you said, make the outside jumpshot, Odom usually plays the 3/4 and Aldridge plays the 4 sometimes the 5. Aldridge shoots the ball better but Odom can shoot the 3. They are similar because both players mostly settle for the outside jumper and are considered as "lazy" or "soft" PF's with similar height and build. Was thinking about a LMA and Jason Thompson poll but I think LMA is obviously better at the stage of their careers.

    I like Aldridge but If I had to pick between the two, I would probably go with Odom because when odom has his head on, he changes the entire complexion of the game.

    The only thing Aldridge has over Odom is scoring.

    So Odom would be my pick
