Yao Traded ? Where and then, what player in exchange ? Whe know that Yao wouldn't go anywhere. Chinese community is very important and then, there are not a lot of teams that caould bring Yao in the roster. I think about New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco. New York: they already have Curry (and Frye) but he can't interest us, less good than Yao and medical problems. Marbury: of course not. And after ? Nothing. LA Lakers: they won't let Bryant go. And on backcourt, we have Mac Grady. Look at their roster. Excepted Odom, there is nothing that could interest us and T-Mac already plays SF. We would need more a SG or a PG. Golden State: there is Davis (PG) or Richardson (SG) but since Davis arrived, the Warriors are improving and the chemestry is good. And with T-Mac, Richardson is no interest. Else where ? I don't see. Don't forget that if a trade is making, il must improve our team in the paint. I don't see another big man better than Yao at 25 years old. We also know that a center is more productive at 28 years old, in 3 years for Yao. And he's already 19 points 9 rebounds. Whe always expect a lot of Yao. Always more. Too much in my mind. He's a good center and in 3 years, he will be a very good center. Keep Yao.
Ok first of all get your facts right. Golden State plays in OAKLAND, not San Francisco... Yao is too valuable too us. I don't think we can trade him unless he does this bad the whole season and just does horrible... Its true that Golden State wanted Yao in the draft. They have a wide Asian population. (I think) But enough of the Yao will be good in 3 years. He already was good. He's just not top of the line, go out and score 30 points and get 15 boards every night guy. Give him some time....
i like yao and im glad he's here. but im a rockets fan first and if there is a trade for yao that would make us better than im all for it.
It's seriously right across a bridge from San Francisco. San Francisco and Oakland combined aren't 1/10 of the size of Houston geographically, so anywhere in San Francisco is significantly closer to the Arena in Oakland than people in the suburbs of Houston are to Toyota Center. Secondly, what's up with nobody in this thread speaking decent english? Somebody please tell me the original poster is chinese. But I know WhoMikeJames speaks english so what's up with "They have a wide chinese community." What does that mean? The chinese people in that area are fat?
There is not any this kind of trade in the league right now, maybe 10 years later you'll be satisfied. Good Luck !
I don't think most people are aware of the fact that Yao's MAX contract doesn't start until next year. Trading him now will get us nobody in return.
Honestly, this looks pretty good to me: Yao Ming Stromile Swift for Chris Mihm Lamar Odom Devin George Resulting Lineups: Yao Ming Stromile Swift xxxxx Kobe Bryant Smush Parker and Chris Mihm Lamar Odom Tracy McGrady/Devin George Luther Head/Tracy McGrady David Wesley/Luther Head You may not like it, but I do.
Eh...I dunno, I think that leaves us softer inside than we already are. Odom's extremely talented but playing him at PF is definitely out of position.
Were not gonna get anything remotley close to yao's value if we decided to trade him away. were stock with him for the long haul. maybe i have been a bit guilty of bashing him lately, but no more, yao i support you no matter what.
What's the point of trading Yao if we can't get a superstar in return? Yao is between an all star and a superstar. Only a superstar is an upgrade that makes sense.
Well thats the point i'm trying to make. at this point, we can only recive a borderline star in return. i say stick with him and let him improve to his own accord. gundy should just say to yao, forget the game plan big fella, go out there and play you're natural game.
