And yet still in first place. The most critical road series of the year will be the 10 game set in September where they play at Texas and LA, along with the 6 game set to end the season. Getting all this losing out of the way now (included with all the flukey 1 run losses) will be key to ensuring those more important trips are well handled.
Oh, they're just getting the losing out of the way? Wish I knew that before the road trip. Not a bad strategy.
So after the game today they have 22 games left on the road, and your assessment is that the 10 game road trip and final 6 gm road trip (16 of the 22 road games left) are the most critical road series of the year. Well I would say you really went on a limb with that prediction.
Prediction, no... its a fact (and within that 10 game trip, they really only need to fair ok in the games against the other playoff contenders). And the bottom line is that they're still in first, and still on track to make the playoffs, despite all the road woes. Its a wide open AL (getting slightly smaller with the Blue Jays acquisitions and surge), the Astros are still ahead of schedule and resemble an unfinished product (with several key lineup spot decisions likely changing had the front office known this team would have been a contender THIS year).
22 road games left, the 10 game road trip is against the division, and the last 6 games are against Seattle (division) and Arizona (last series of the yr), so yes these games are the most critical. OBVIOUSLY!
Great... thanks... glad you have to repeat things out loud to understand them better. Not sure why everybody's been so worried around here.... if things can only get better on the road, they'll be getting better at a time where it matters a helluva lot more.
We suck ass on the road and you make a statement that 16 of the final 22 road games of the year will be the most critical. NO ****!!
This is now the third time you've repeated the same thing... I think you drank too much of Jobu's rum. And the statement is not just that this team's final road games will be critical... its that this team is SITLL in first place and losing every which way on the road (a lot of it being very flukey... things that tend to even out in the end)... and if they play just the slightest bit more to their potential (which they should with a reloaded roster and guys coming back from injury/minors), things should be better when they matter more.
I drank Jobu's rum? Dude thank you for your valuable contribution letting us know that 16 of the final 22 road games of the season will be the most critical road games left (and oh yeah we're still in 1st place). Again NO S$@T!!!
Things have already turned the corner... undefeated on the road since the start of this thread. Of course those devoid of sarcasm or too dense to follow humor will complain about that statement ("well, no **** they're undefeated on the road since this thread started!!!")
Any other obvious observations you'd like to share with the forum? How about the last road trip of the season will be the most important road games of the year.
At first I thought you were just saying things in jest along with me... but as I now see you're serious, I suggest you get a hold of your dementia. The shark has jumped the shark.
It took you this long to figure this out, and I have dementia? My parents taught me not to argue with the village idiot, and thus I'm out.
