To McHale: Please don't play the starters too many minutes

    I don't want to see Lin staying in the game for 40+minutes because Machado/Douglas suck. Or Asik looking like he's running on fumes because Patterson or Aldrich let teams into the paint on every play. Or Parsons mirroring minutes with Durant because no one else can check him.

    I normally just accept coaches when they ride their starters for way too many minutes when they have a bad bench. But this season, I really hope we're not doing that. There's too much to lose risking injuries to our young core of Harden/Asik/Parsons/Lin. And without even being a playoff contender, this is the year to see which rookie(s) can truly cut it in the NBA. For the love of all things Rockets, allow our backups to play 15-20mpg, and not ride our starters for 40+mpg in such a meaningless season.

    I agree, but only because i feel the rockets have a decent bench.

    Livingston
    Delfino
    Morris/cook
    Jones
    Aldrich

    Is defensively very sound, and cook + Delfino + Jones should give the unit good range too.

    Starters will play 40+ minutes.... Because this is no longer a meaningless season.

    Why would this be a worry when we now have the reigning Sixth Man of the Year coming off the bench?
