"To-Do List" Software?

    I'm tired of Microsoft Outlook, and the task (to-do list) function in Mozilla Sunbird doesn't handle repeating tasks very well at this time. Does anyone know of a simple "to-do list" program that automatically updates repeating tasks and issues reminders (either by email or a pop up notification or whatever)?

    There are a number of PIMs in the works that should have a good task function: Mozilla Lightning, Open Source Application Foundation's Chandler, and Novell's Evolution ported to Windows. But none of these are going to be ready for prime time anytime soon. I'm unwilling to tolerate Outlook anylonger, but I really miss the repeating tasks function.

    have you tried downloading palm desktop? I think you can download it without having a palm, but I'm not sure...

    I use a program called Rainlendar

    It's a pretty nice calendar that's on your desktop, and you can set events that have alarms, and it has a pretty simple To-Do List. It's also skinnable.
