I've ran across some great blog sites. Part of me wants to blog, yet I really have nothing to say. How many of you blog? How many blog producing sites are out there? I know MSN has this one: http://spaces.msn.com/ To blog or not to blog. That is the question.
I blog, but it's really insignificant. I just post random ramblings when I feel like it. A lot of people post **** like how depressing or sucky their lives are. Doing a blog can be fun if you have a bunch of friends that do it also so they leave comments and all that other crap. Sometimes it does feel pretty worthless. I had a blog that I tried to update nearly every day, but things get really watered down. Now I usually post whenever something funny happens to me, or lets say, I go crazy after TMAC pulls off a miracle.
I have an Livejournal one but havent updated in like months I have a Deadjournal one that I post lyrics and havent updated in forever Also have one under my MySpace profile, in which I update weekly
I've had several; I'm just trying to stay consistent. I had one on kuro5hin, but that was where everyone was allowed to rate them and post comments, even if you were just trying to blow off steam about your life. (Comments are one thing, but I didn't want to see how many stars out of five my entries got.) Then I had one on blogger.com, mentioned above. I quit using that because it had my real name on it and I couldn't figure out how to get it off of there. I decided, especially in a teaching position, better to blow off steam in a not quite so obvious manner. So I got a new one on LiveJournal. I've been trying to update, and do sometimes, but it's hard to get around to it. Then no telling what I will say when I get in there. A lot of people fill blogs with political commentary, etc., just about every time. Mine is often self-centered rambling about my life or whatever I happen to be up to right then. I don't even like politics. Also, I've only been posting from my laptop and from work because I didn't want Ferdinand finding this one. If I ever get consistent with it, I'll post the link for y'all.
My sister started out with a blog, then she moved to livejournal. The only reason she ever started doing one was because she had nothing to do in her CS class, so she started writing, and now it's a theraputic thing for her when she gets really stressed. I tried to start a blog, but I just can't do it. I'd rather spend my time here. Another blog type thing is Xanga - some of her friends have that.
another vote for blogger.com I blog because I'm a geek... I don't get many reads, but I enjoy posting links I like... The Groove Blog
i had a deadjournal one a few years ago. i have recently made a myspace.com one, and have updated it daily.
