This message is to all the people I saw at the game yesterday that left with 3 1/2 minutes left and the Rockets trailing by 10.

I hope you feel stupid for giving up on the Rockets. Yeah I was disgusted that they were losing to a sorry team but if you're gonna support your team, you support them through thick and thin.

I'm sure that this message will fall on deaf ears because the majority of the people who get on this site are true fans who wouldn't leave early.

I'm not saying one can never leave a game early. It's okay to leave if your house is on fire, etc. but It really disgusts me to see the stadium half empty in the first place and then half of the people who bother to show up leave before the game is even over.
The only good thing that came out of it is me and my friends moved down to the third row when all those people left. And we watched a hell of an ending from up close.

That is a common response. Is beating traffic all that important? What's another 5 minutes or sometimes less?

Against Golden State no less! Coming back and beating a powerhouse like that calls for a parade!

Yes I know you were kidding Hoop-T, but to all those who use traffic as an actual excuse:

Traffic in Houston vs LA?? I still stay to the end of Laker games when the Rockets are getting blown out (i.e. the last game in LA) and traffic here is MUCH worse

Teelo, I am withya my brotha..this board is about venting sometimes...

we do need to consider that most people are not as passionate as we are on this board and that some people actually view the Rockets as entertainment versus a passion! Like a bad movie, most people did not want to stick around for a good ending that they could not have phathomed....every arena in America would have been in the same mode, except Sac-Town, NY and LA! You see in LA they do not show until the second quarter anyway : ).....Hell, the Clips may have to be on this list too!

the NBA is not an exciting product....not everyone in the building is a die-hard fan like people who post on this board regularly are. this is typical in every arena and stadium across the country. the rockets have done little this year to inspire hope of any late comebacks....and the fact they had to come back against a team like the warriors was probably a bit discouraging to some there.

I never leave Rockets games early when I see them in Philly, NJ, NY and DC. Even if we were down by 50 with 2 minutes left, I'd stay for the ending.

    A) I stayed through the wole game last night.

    B) There is nothing wrong with leaving early whilest losing to a crappy team when you yourself are a crappy team with under 3 minutes left to go in the game.

-We have seats in the lower bowl that arent that great, but still cost well over $100. If you want to blame anyone for not creating the enthusiastic, overzealous feel, blame Les Alexander and the money machine that is now the NBA.

-In fact, every game I see people leaving early because the have young children with them. Maybe those fans are pathetic, or rather sellouts, too.

We had to come back against GSW and we are suppose to be playoff contenders? We normally fall back, comeback and lose to good teams, but since GSW are just as bad as us, we pulled it out. Comeback against GSW? Man thats kind of sad to think about.
