I originally began has a hardcore Yao Ming fan. I rooted for him regardless of how well or how poorly he did. I saw him play in China and I was an automatic fan. Hell, I even voted him as ROY and a starter even before he played a single minute in the NBA.

Then he finally came to houston... and got flamed. He played 7-15 minutes a game, didn't shoot at all, got fouled like crazy, and didn't seem to know what the hell he was doing. I felt dejected and a fool. I took back the ROY prediction, said he will need a year or two. Even the 20 point game was just a sign of his potential, but nothing to be expected on an early basis...

But hold up Toto. Yao just scored 30 points and 16 rebounds. HOLY SHIITE. This ain't no fluke. Yao might not do this against Shaq, but there is only one Shaq in the game. This is the real deal. Ming is finding his spot, his confidence. How will he do now? I HAVE NO IDEA. ROY? All star? What is going on... I want to put him back on that pedestal, but I know I should be conservative. But the man just scored 30 points and 16 rebounds. He has the highest FGP in the entire NBA. Is all the hype before just hype... or it is becoming reality?

when houston drafted Yao Ming, i told al my friend show good he was and how great he would be.Than the first games Yao didn't play much.so everybody laughed at me.i thought ok maybe yao needs some time, i said to them wait for after the all-star break, then he wil show you how good he will be.but than again yao surprised me with his last couple of game he has hit 31 of his last 35 shots:eek: he wil be a force, and he wil be it this year, i think he is a rookie of the year favorite.after gasol the second foreign ROY in a row.
