Its on right now (at such an odd time), and they will be discussing the Rockets-Mavs game 1 after they talk about the Boston game.

So far, Charles has already said that the fact that the Rockets won yesterday could probably change how the entire series goes from here on out (as opposed to the Dallas writers, who think it was just "one bad game.")

He also rekindled the "tough love" for McGrady: "He thinks I'm hard on him, but its only because the way he played yesterday.... he's supposed to play like that.... all the time."

He gets on, won't be room for anybody else. Really don't expect him to say anything positive about the Rox, he hasn't all year why is he going to start now.

he hasn't said anything positive about any team (except for San Antonio) - so why expect him to start now

Ernie: "so chuck, what did you think of the mavs-rockets game"

Chuck: "I don't know why they bother to play these games, we all know San Antonio is going to win. Is it lunch time yet ?"

    Exactly!

We don't need lard-butt on our bandwagon now, he is too heavy for it anyways, it would flip over:p

I dislike Barkley a lot, I don't know why, I guess because he always talks out of his ass and is such a sore loser

But anyways, they are now tripping over themselves trying to praise the Rockets:rolleyes:

    TALK TO THE HAND:D

I actually am liking the approach they take to McGrady.... they expect SO MUCH out of him, that only a great playoff run will erase the bad memories they have of him those last two years in Orlando, where he had basically no choice but to lay down for that god-awful team.

Its all right there for you now Tracy... seize the day.

Hakeem did it in 93, when people were questioning his devotion to the game... you're going to do it in 05.

It takes a lot more than just a good regular season to erase the last two years of McGrady not giving his all (even though he did work his ass off), in the eyes of the guys on espn, TNT, or PTI... who don't really watch McGrady on a game to game basis like we do.

The playoffs is where he'll make people eat their words... and they'll be doing it with regularity if he continues his barrage.

thanks for the headsup...I hadnt even turned on the TV yet today.

I still laugh every time I see that VG quote about Tracy and his "system"....hilarious! :D

Chuckles didnt really praise the team as a whole...more like a little props to Tmac and the bench..

Lard Butt is praising the Rockets now, and saying "the reason why I am hard on that boy (he means McGrady, gotta love how he calls grown men "boy" ) is because he can be great, he can be the best player in the league if he wants to".

Thanks, but no thanks Charles, T-Mac and the Rockets have on thing to tell you: "Talk to the hand!!"

i happen to like charles, and at times I think he is correct. :D He is hard on Tmac, but again at time i think his play does deserve some criticisms. Charles once proclaimed that Tmac was the 2nd best player in the NBA, only behind Shaq. It was after last season that charles became critical of tmac, only because he settled for too many jump shots, and didnt take it to the hole.

Basically, they just talked about T-Mac and his outstanding performance. Most interesting comment to me was at the end of the piece while Charles was off camera, he said Dirk needs to punish that boy (Ryan Bowen) in the box. Dirk in his post-game interview also said that one of the adjustments they need to make an adjustment to attack the basket.

Expect a different Dallas game plan for Monday emphasizing Dirk down low.

Last year only. Two years ago he averaged 32.1pts while taking Detroit to 7 games in the playoffs. It was last year that it went south on the Magic. Let's not pile on. Last year was the only subpar year of his career

It is funny that people expect more from the leading scorer in the league last year. That just tells you how much people expect out of McGrady, they will never be satisfied, they will always think he can do more, because they think that the way he looks (those deceptive eyes that make you think he is sleep-walking, when he is not) and the way he makes the toughest plays look so easy with his unmatched grace on the court.

T-Mac can't really win this battle, people think he can always do more, they are not even taking into account that this guy is injured in almost every part of his body, and is nowhere near 100%

Man... now they're reminiscing about the 1995 Rockets.

I'm glad I tuned in to this... good stuff.

    LOL!

GREAT clips of the 1995 championships, they showed those clips while Kenny Smith was gloating, and acted like he was getting misty eyed fromthe memories:D

EJ said, "10 years ago, this happened...", and they showed the Rockets championship highlights, playing "Big Pimpin" in the background (how fitting:cool: )

I loved that, I got chills, especially knowing what they were suggesting: Could history repeat itself? Could the '05 Rockets duplicate the success of the '95 Rockets?

The answer is: Yes! We have waited long enough, Let's bring the trophy back where it belongs:cool:

That's just the perfect example of the whole situation I'm trying to describe.... last year was so damaging to McGrady's image, that it basically negated everything good he ever did for that team (and it was a lot), and everybody forgets the good times he actually had (including myself, my bad).

No wonder he wanted off that team... it severely damaged his credibility, his rep, his image, his mvp-status... everything. Thank goodness (for his sake, and ours) that he was able to come to a team that can win and play hard for him.

And... just as fast as they brought him down, he can bring himself back up again with a stellar playoff run.
