TMac was just interviewed on TNT's NBA Tip Off with Ernie, Charles, Kenny, and Reggie. It was live and the background was TMac's house. They showed his indoor basketball court, and his daughter was there also. I didn't see it all, but they were talking about his clutch shooting, and his Las Vegas party came up. He cracked a joke at Charles, saying he was sponsored by Gatorade and could not come. Anyone recorded it?
tmac's house is so nice. that basketball goal was awesome. my friend lives just around the block from him.
Yeah I enjoyed watching the interview, was pleasantly surprised he got the starting spot and even happier when they had him on. I'm also glad Charles let him know the Rockets are only going as far as he takes us
hopefully nba.com will have the interview on their website in the tnt section soon. they have a deke interview that is soo incomprehensible its not even funny. deke talking to his former coach john thompson over the phone or something but its near impossible to understand, the phone feed was bad on top of deke's lovable voice
WOW! All positive(well almost) talk on the rockets by all of the panels, what a surprise.. 1. Mention about Yao all-time vote getter and that he was "ballin" this year before the injury. 2. Charles was impressed with T-Mac carrying the team with Yao out and that the Rockets should be his team and Yao is his robin. T-Mac burst out laughing and thought it was funny, though Charles had a serious look. 3. T-Mac said, he realized he hasn't lost a step and that it was all mental, pretty much dispell the myth that it was his back that was slowing him down which is not true...said he had no choice but to be the old t-mac while yao is out. 4. T-Mac said he has no problem defering to Yao b/c he was having an MVP season dating back from last year. 5. T-Mac said last year would've been a great year but the injury set them back. 6. He was with his daughter the whole time and that it was her b-day and had just turned 5. 7. He seriously woud've have given his all-star spot to Nash...said he was amazing again this yr. 8. Made a joke about him throwing a party in Vegas and that kenny and Charles were not invited. I'm sure i'm missing something else, but thats all I coulfd remember.
Great interview. Much respect to the Rockets, T-Mac, and Yao. T-Mac looks happy, with his daughter just turning 4. He is sounding maturer and more like a leader every time i see him talk.
not a stalker, but curious as to generally where this baller lives.. i like to brag about sugar land... i lived in the same subdivision as Vernon Maxwell, Mario Elie, and Charles Barkley at the same time. All were within 15 houses of me it was so odd depressing to see the limos everyday pulling in and out of the subdivision!
I dont know how it is living in the USA but overhere if i would live 15 houses away from barkley etc it would mean that im rich too/my parents would be rich. Anyway will watch the interview when its online. And i have to say Barkley is right the team will go as far as T-Mac takes them ( not saying that Yao isnt important though ).
In Year of the Yao, Yao had just a plain suburbia house. I hope with all that cash, they'd get him some furniture in his room and and a bigger pad. No way Cuttino or Moochie should have a bigger place than Yao.
Go to NBA.com and you can watch the entire TNT Inside the NBA show for the evening. The entire thing and some extra stuff for online only.
If you look on HCAD Harris County Appraisal District Website, Yao's house is only worth like $500,000, pretty modest for a max contract guy, although he probably is big time balla in China. http://www.hcad.org/records/details.asp?tab=3&bld=1&card=1&taxyear=2007&acct=1204910010008
