Is anyone else sick of seing the same teams every Thursday on TNT? If it's not the Lebron's it's the Celtics or the Nuggets or the Magic or the Lakers. I would really like to see teams like OKC or Memphis get the spotlight every now and then. Just venting . . .
Some small-potatoes station should buy rights to a once a week game where they feature lesser NBA teams. It would benefit everyone.
I agree with the OP. I'm in India and the only games that are telecast on TV are the ones on TNT.. I'm sick and tired of waking up every friday morning and watching the same teams over and over again.. Not even 1 rockets game on tv this year for me.. I dont remember when was the last time that happened. thank god for the Internets and broadband.

I don't know about you, but yesterday's games were off-the-charts entertaining: from Orlando vs. Cavs all the way to the last game of the night (Jazz vs. Blazers)...I thought all those games were near playoff quality basketball. What would you have the NBA do, schedule Clippers vs. Rockets on national TV? The objective here is to get ratings by showcasing the league's best teams or at least some good matchups and entertaining basketball. About the only Rockets game I would even bother to consider for national TV would be the upcoming Knicks/Rox showdown in March...even then only if McGrady is still healthy and playing with his team. It is a business, TV ratings are what counts here...
The NBA sells stars and good teams, or at least good rivalries/matchups. Like I said, no one wants to labor through a Clipper vs. Bobcats 'showdown' on national TV. Unfortunately for you and us as Rockets fans, the Rockets are a 'lesser' team this season.
I've been arguing this for years. I still maintain that three of the most entertaining teams to watch this year are Milwaukee, Houston and Sacramento -- who have a combined ZERO national TV dates (according to teh MikeJames post, although that has to be wrong because I know Sacramento had one on ESPN earlier this year). Even though I live 30 miles from the Pepsi Center, I still buy League Pass every year so I can watch the less represented teams.
The Rockets actually have 1 national televised game. It was added about a month or two ago... Its towards the end of the season against the Jazz. Either ESPN or TNT. I forget...
Yeah and for some reason teams like the warriors, suns, and blazers make it weekly too. As well as the Bulls.
My resentment against TNT Thursdays is because the NBA makes them exclusive and doesn't have a full schedule of alternative games to watch (on League Pass BB). I get tired of the same teams too, but shutting down the schedule for just 2 games is what really ticks me off.
u really think barkley is gonna know anything about any team other than the celtics, lakers, or cavs?? but i agree with u. i would really like to see okc/grizzles play --the hawks/mavs also deserve some games as well
