    Very few guys in the NBA just "shoot over" their primary defender. Even Harden when scoring one on one is relying and shaking his defender and getting open.

    And the "guys" you mention would be able to do that to Lawson, or to PBev.

    But even that isn't the majority of the offense. Even with Terry and Prigioni guarding him a lot, most of Curry's offense in the WCF was due to the PnR.

    Defensively I'd rather look at how well he understands team defense concepts.

    He's a half inch shorter than CP3 with a higher standing reach. People don't just shoot over CP3, even when they have a huge height advantage over him. Elite offensive shooting guards like Kobe and Harden can't just shoot over him. He makes them work. Lawson isn't a great defender, but it's not simply because he's short.
