First of all I really like Tmac. He's a likeable guy and when he's on, he's fun to watch. But seriously, the guy is done here. After two TOUGH first round exits (vs. Dallas and vs. Utah) I think he has pretty much given up here. This knee "injury" is very suspect if you ask me. I hate to speculate on someone's injury, but seem to me like he's milking it. And what was the deal with him refusing to get an MRI? And now 2-3 games extends to 2-3 weeks? There have been rumors of him expressing his unhappiness here in Houston and if that is the case we need to trade him and be done with it. Obviously you have to trade him to the East. Chicago seems like a good destination for him. They have a glut of young talent I'm sure they would part with a few out of Deng, Gordon, Heinrich, Duhon, Noah, Thomas. Get some young guns and build around Yao.
So let's guess when T-Mac would be back. The team looks better and better without him. I do recall last year it is the same. The team looks improving without him, then he showed up, leaving 13-4X record behind. We all admit Rockets reallly played some BALLs recently, so it would be a great time for him to come back now since hard schedule and teams are mostly over. As I recalled last year, he always "recovers" when we are about to face a struggling team, check the record, I am not sure about that. So when he would be back? After he is back, history only record 2-4 loss without T-Mac in 2007-08 season, no one would remember those games Rockets played hard and have almost every chances to win and just not deep enough or not lucky...... So please, T-Mac, "Get well" soon
Wow. Just wow. So lets review, RocketsFan11: 1) discounted an MRI showing that Tracy tore a tendon in his knee, while 2) believing the unbelievably ridiculous and false rumor suggested by a writer in Chicago. Ignore the facts and support rumors with no evidence. Awesome! Props to you.
last year Yao had a big injury and the rockets were able to win w/o him. This team has showed a lot of good strides. Hopefully this will be like last year.
I am afraid to click on this thing if is showing up everywhere and the last time something like this happene. . . . IT WAS NOT KEWL!! Rocket River
Well that's a great idea! I mean after all, 7 ft 5/ 7ft 6 just grows on trees doesn't it? Let's trade Yao and then, we would have left potentially a broke down T-Mac who this year and next would be bouncing back and forth off the IR. So forget inside/out game and forget double teams to draw open 3 pt shots. No, we would be back on the road to expansion stone age. Think it's bad now your idea would surely screw us to infinity. You sir are brilliant! Again if you're going to make a trade, you only make a trade that will potentially improve your team not just to make a trade.
How do we know he didn't pay the MRI technician to SAY it was a strained tendon? And the doctors? Kidding, of course. But I have to say that T-Mac's lack of consistent fire on the court invites this kind of criticism. If he played hard all the time (think Kobe or KG or AI), nobody would question the nagging injuries. Even when he tried to play through it, fans were ragging on him.
