It may be a bit pre-mature to be saying that TMac is out, but it seems he will miss at least a few games. These games cant get any tougher against the "Big Three" in the Spurs, Suns and Mavs.

Last year when Yao went down, TMac played at a MVP type level leading the team to a very good record (Not exactly sure how much, i dont have time right now.)

Do you guys think Yao can do the same??

That's what I'm hoping for. Yao has the chance now to make it his team. I would really like to see him get it done. Tonight was not a great start, especially missing key FT's.

if u can't do it against the lakers, you have no chance of leading us v. the spurs, mavs, suns.

tmac better not miss one game.

I think it is much tougher for Yao because teams will collapse on him especially with the way our whole team is shooting....

On the other hand, I loved Bonzi's game tonight!

If you really remember last year, when McGrady missed 10 games, Yao couldn't carry the team, but when Yao went down due to injury, the Rockets kept on rolling!

    The simple answer is NO!

But hopefully Bonzi can fill in and maybe Kirk can step up.

But until Adelman realizes that this team won't win with teams daring Rafer to shoot his wide open bricks, it will be tough with McGrady.

No chance we saw what happened last yr. Overloading Yao wont work he cant do it, he's not efficient late in games, plus we overload him and there goes his health, so by the time Tmac comes back, Yao will be out with some injury. This is freakish how cursed we are!!

how the hell can Yao carry the load when he can't hit the critical free throws?! WTF?!

However, I'm positive Yao will shoot much better from now on.

Yao actually made some great hustle plays near the end which are encouraging. He really didn't fumble away the ball at all at crunch time. His last free throw was perfectly executed, but we just couldn't nail a three near the end if their lives depended on it...

Too bad he had a rare but atrocious night shooting from both the field and the line at the end.

I hope other players step up. I'm not asking for a crazy record but just hold off until T-mac comes back. .500 would be more than satisfying.

Yao led us against the Spurs last time. He won't choke on key FT's again.

It's Yao's chance to show that he can carry the team to wins. Are you going to root for losses just to prove your point?
