Its old news, the chron reported it too. Just makes it official though, incase a few of yall were still wondering. The game should have went into OT and TMac should have set the record for most points in a single ASG.

Instead LEbron gets the MVP. The guy who ballhogged most of the game and wasnt even the main reason the East won. Wade brought in the victory.

yea the real mvp was billups and detroit

lebron had one or two nice plays but mostly jacked up shots and ballhogged

but mcgrady should have atleast got co-mvp, i mean the third highest score ever

Actually, it was the best scoring performance in the history of the all star game, given the number of minutes he was on the floor.

Dirk gets off a late shot, Nate steals the Dunk Contest, a no call on the possible tying jump shot. I know it's all for fun and games, but it seems like the NBA was just trying to get it over with.

Despite it's a foul or not... its disrespectful for TM to think he can get that shot off Clean in front of LJ. A bad shot-attempt if u ask me.

How else is he gonna get a shot? Funny how NBA officiating is even bad at the All Star game out of all places. Well.....the dunk contest wasn't NBA officiating.

I read an article said TMAC hurted a lot of players feeling: YAO, TD, KG....

He wanted the MVP so much that he played like MAGIC-TMAC.

YAo and most of west tried to set the stage for him and he failed, although YAO is co-homer-star too. He never tried to pass the ball to YAO.

Was that the first time you watched Tracy Mcgrady play? He does that all the time, his fadeaway is only money, and that shot was only going in had it not been a foul.

Umm, have you not watched a single Rockets game? Or better yet, a single TMAC game?

This is his money shot. Tmac is known for his ability to rise up and lean away from the D to nail his jump shots.

Yeah i know.. but when u face a 6'10 super long and atheletic man who is in max defensive mode.. u gotta change ur stactic a bit instead just trying to jump up and shoots over him, drive in maybe?

I know it was a bad call but let's just clear up one thing. There is no guarantee that McGrady would have hit both free throws to force OT. Trust me I wanted him to get the MVP just as bad as anybody else, in fact it cost me $160 because he didn't, but that being said ....he was 2 for 7 from the ft line in the game. Plus he could have done some other things to help get himself the MVP award. How bout mixing in a block or rebound. He was the only player other than Arenas (9 minutes) who didn't have a rebound the whole game.

Anywayz....I hope the second half of the season is 10 times better than the first.

Ummm..Lebron was the force behind the comeback. By the time the Pistons boys came in, the lead was down to single digits. T-Mac would have won it had the West won...oh well.

The Pistons slowed down the West early in the game especially at the end of the first half and brought it down to a 17 point lead. They also changed the pace of the game which favored the West big time.
