There is no doubt KNEEMAC is a hall of famer due to individual accolades, but which team will he go in the hall with? Every team he has been on, the city hates him. Orlando and Houston are the two places where he made played his best and both cities pretty much dislike KNEE-MAC....
Seriously? There are even doubts as to whether or not Vince Carter belongs and Carter has had a better career than McGrady.
Gotta be the Magic. He was DOMINANT as a Magic player. If he would've had any sort of help there, that team would've won @ least 1 title (much like Lebron's problem over the last few years, but to a worse level, I think Mike Miller was #2, and Pat Garrity was #3 option).
This. I think that Mark Aguirre and Kiki Vandeweghe are historical parallels to McGrady. Both filled a stat sheet, neither of them are in the hall of fame. Aguirre was even a significant contributor on the Bad Boys Pistons teams. Being the scoring champ on a mediocre team does not stamp your ticket to the hall.
If he's in, I would think it would be for the Magic. Those were his best years. Although maybe Orlando would deny him that right due to the bad blood?
There is like 1 scoring champion that isn't in the HOF. Friggn Van Chancellor is in the HOF. So there ya go, put T-Mac in there under Houston Comets.
jerry stackhouse i dont think has ever led the league in scoring. if he did i forgot about it. and i think by the time vince carter and tmac retire tmac will have better numbers across the board. thats for whomever said vince has had a better nba seasons.
But Carter will have had a better career. Carter is a lock to make the HOF. He's the modern day Dominique Wilkins. There's a few reasons why I don't think McGrady will make it. First of all, he hasn't been consistent. His yearly performances have been roller coaster rides. Secondly, he's always left a team on bad terms, and public perception does play a role. Look at Dennis Rodman. Based on career accomplishments, he should've already have been inducted.
