I think it's obvious now that the rockets are no better than an eastern version of the orlando Magic. Actually the magic are better. So what leaves your expectations that the rockets will make the playoffs? Sure they would be maybe a 5 seed in the east. They remind me of my team only not as good. So that's why i figure they are a 5 seed. Your star is francis who is ok, but can he really be a star per say? Yao's an unproven rookie, And gooden will be better than him. Howard all tho overpaid at his time still scores more and averages more rebounds than mobley. So if it were the rockets moving to the east next year instead of New orleans going west, I think they would actually have the talent to make the playoffs. But couldn't beat a top team like New Jersey or Orlando.
Orlando only makes they playoffs because they are in the east. Rox would slaughter the magic in a playoff series, just like they did in 95, when the magic were actually good.

You actually think that either Howard or Gooden can hold Yao below 25/12/3? Puh-lease. Only teams in the East that can try and limit Yao are the Nets and possibly the Knicks if Mutombo stays healthy. That's it. Rockets would be favourites to win the East if they moved. Is there ANY doubt about it?
we had someone tell us Pau Gasol is better than Yao, which is at least arguable. now, Gooden will be better than Yao!!! Geez, this is getting ridiculous!!
