After the first half was over, he was lying on the floor holding his back in obvious pain. This can't be good...
you forgot to mention he was carried out on a stretcher and shouting in pain no im not kidding. there goes the season folks. its official.
Is this going to be the pattern? One star injured, second star carries team. Second star taxes himself too much, when first star comes back, second star is injured? And the vicious cycle continues? F this. Rest our franchise players. Let T-Mac and Yao take as much rest as they need to recover 100%. If we miss the playoffs, so be it. The future is more important than making the 8th playoff spot.
I think the season is over. We may as well rest our stars and take a high pick, like how Spurs landed TD.
We are screwed. I was watching... he went up for a jumper and came down. It didn't even look like he landed funny. He was in major, major pain. Damn, damn, damn!!
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2285167 HOUSTON -- Houston star Tracy McGrady left Sunday night's game against Denver with a recurrence of severe back spasms. Tracy McGrady Guard-Forward Houston Rockets Profile 2006 SEASON STATISTICS GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% 23 25.9 7.0 5.1 41.684 75.980 The 6-foot-9 McGrady, who missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms, missed a deep jumper near the top of the key in the final seconds of the first half. He started backpedalling, stopped abruptly, bent over and crumpled to the floor, screaming in pain as the buzzer sounded. McGrady was lifted onto a stretcher and rolled off the floor, surrounded by several team officials and owner Les Alexander. An ambulance took McGrady to the hospital. The Rockets are already missing their other star, Yao Ming, who's out at least another month after surgery to remove an infection from his left big toe. Guards Rafer Alston and Jon Barry recently returned from leg injuries and Derek Anderson remains sidelined with a calf strain. The backcourt trio has missed a total of 45 games this season. McGrady had topped 30 points in Houston's last five games. He had 11 points on 5-for-14 shooting in the first half against Denver.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2285167 This season is just shaping up to be a lost cause. Wonder how long the team can hold out against denver
There's a reason why some NBA players play with broken bones......but SIT when they have back spasms. The name sounds innocuous enough, but back spasms SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have minor back spasms every so often and they are painful as hell. Those things will paralize you when they hit. I can't EVEN imagine what Tracy goes through with how bad his are. So, is it Sprewell time yet?
