    Nice, A.

I had the pleasure of meeting TLC back in 1998 at a promotional shoot. I confessed my undying love to T-Boz and asked if she could have my kids.

She never got back to me on that. :(

    Anyways...

They were so nice to everyone. And they were very professional. Lopes is very funny and even though I could only be around the shoot for 20 minutes or so, they didn't have to be so nice to me and my co-workers. Like Kevin Bacon. What a jerk.

Damn. Sometimes your turn is sooner than expected.

    RIP, Lopes. :(

    Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.

Lisa ''Left Eye'' Lopes, a hip-hop singer with the group TLC who died last week in a car crash in Honduras, was involved in another accident almost three weeks ago in which a 10-year-old boy was run over and killed, according to the Honduran newspaper La Prensa.

Lopes, 30, was killed instantly Thursday night near Jutiapa, about 10 miles west of La Ceiba, on Honduras' northern Atlantic coast, when the rented Mitsubishi SUV she was driving rolled over.

Her body was returned to her hometown of Atlanta on Sunday.

In the crash on April 6, Lopes was a passenger in a Mitsubishi driven by her assistant, identified as Stefani, according a story in La Prensa's Sunday edition. The vehicle ran over the boy between 8:45 and 9 p.m. along the highway to La Ceiba, where Lopes and her friends were staying.

The child, Bayron Isaul Fuentes López, was on his way to visit relatives with his uncle Miguel Angel Rivera. He was rushed to the Suyapa Clinic in San Pedro Sula. Because of his severe injuries, he was transferred to a larger clinic, where he died.

Rivera said he and other relatives remembered seeing Lopes at the first clinic and later recognized her from photographs in newspaper after her fatal crash. He said he recognized the tattoos on her arm and an earing in her left eyebrow, the newspaper reported.

He also said the occupants of the car identified her after the accident and that's when he first heard the name ''Lisa Lopes.'' He even wrote down the name down and a description of what had happened that evening in his agenda book, the newspaper said.

The boy's family did not press charges, saying that both Lopes and Stefani went to the first clinic with the boy at the hospital and kept in touch afterward. They also paid all medical and funeral expenses.

The paper also said the family did not contact police about the incident. Lopes initially wanted to visit the family after the boy died, but she was advised not to because police might learn of the situation.

In a conversation after the accident, both Lopes and Stefani told Rivera that they were on their way to the Ramón Villeda Morales airport to pick up some friends and then head to the city of San Pedro Sula, the uncle told the newspaper.

The vehicles in the two accidents were described as Mitsubishis. But its was unclear Sunday if the same vehicle was involved in both crashes. The story also said that on Thursday -- the day Lopes died -- she and seven friends were in a Mitsubishi Montero on their way back to La Ceiba from a visit with a local naturalist.

Lopes frequently visited Honduras and sought a rejuvenating treatment at Villa Usha before beginning a big project.

She was the only one killed. Honduran police said a truck may have veered into her lane, causing the SUV to flip over several times after she made an evasive move, La Ceiba police said. Lopes may have been speeding.

The newspaper reported that the group had just left Villa Usha in Salitrán, about four kilometers from the accident site. Employees at the center told the paper Lopes and 14 others had been receiving treatment there.

The rapper had reportedly been visiting the center since 1997, after a fellow TLC member recommended Villa Usha to her.

Didn't she have a contract with Death Row Records?
Maybe she said the wrong thing to Suge Knight?
