raptors are stupid.... who would do that? i mean seriously, tj ford, even though he is good, for charlie? he still have potential, and is young. and they could have gotten the best front court in the east, of charlie, bosh, and bargani...

You do if you are building the Phonix North Suns. BC thinks T.J. is the next Steve Nash. T.J. gonna have to learn to shoot it.

TJ is one of the quickest guys in the league with the ball. with him pushing the tempo, mopete and bargnani as the shooters, and bosh in the middle things look good.

of course, the rockets couldve got charlie for gay.

I always had a feeling it was destiny that TJ & PJ play on the same team together. Hook 'Em!

me neither. you have to look at the situation. the raptors would have had 3 guys playing basically the same position in bosh, bargnani, and villanueva. what they really needed was a true pg who could be a floor general, handle, pass, force tempo, and get bosh and bargnani good looks. with ford they have EXACTLY that.

villanueva is a very good young talent, but the truth is he wasn't going to make toronto better. as a good as he was a rookie, they were still an AWFUL team. they had no true pg who could run an offense. i know all the mike james lovers will crucify me for this, but MJ is not a point guard who makes the players around him better or is a real floor general.

tj is really going to help toronto and the development of bargnani because he can set him up for open jumpers and somewhat neutralize bargnani's weakness of being able to blow by nba defenders and score at the rim.

the bucks probably made a mistake on this trade because now they have no real point to get all the guys in the lineup involved. i know tj isn't a dynamite scorer, but he's competent at around 12 ppg. it's amazing over the last 3 years, what the bucks record is with him starting at PG and when he isn't starting. villanueva can play but i don't know if he makes milwaukee better as a TEAM.

3 cheers to both teams, this is a ballsy trade by both and could benefit both teams.......

toronto gains their version of Nash for what Colangelo is trying to build .....plus it would have been interesting to see who could distribute the ball to Bosh, Vill and Bargarse.....

as for the Bucks, do a lot of reading bout them with Bogut their, many felt Mo Williams was better at the point last year than TJ, his lack of jumper seemed to hurt..... especially in the half court, guess the thing for them is can Charlie V really play the 4 full time??? if not makes it tough for Simmons, and i guess we are still waiting on what the Bucks can get for the overrated Magloire, such that the offense to can go thru Bogut more at the 5.....

    good post. one question.

don't you think Toronto should have gottem more out of the Bucks (a draft pick), arn't skilled big men rare in the NBA? All I am upset about is that Charlie V should have brought more value to Toronto?
