Oh man, I hope it's not serious. I remember when he got hurt bad and carried out on a stretcher while in Milwaukee.
Apparently Al Horford was coming down for a rebound or something and his arm hit Tj Ford on the top of the head on the way down. It can be a possible neck injury again. Hopefully its nothing too serious and just precaution to take him out on a stretcher.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3150978 ATLANTA -- Toronto Raptors guard T.J. Ford was taken off the court on a stretcher following a hard foul late in Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks. T.J. Ford Ford Atlanta rookie Al Horford was ejected following the flagrant foul with 1:32 left in the game. Ford, who had 26 points, was headed toward a breakaway basket when Horford hit the guard's face with his hand. Ford landed hard, with his head bouncing off the floor. There was immediate concern because Ford missed the 2004-05 season following neck surgery. Toronto coach Sam Mitchell reacted with anger following the foul and soon the Raptors players huddled in prayer. Mitchell stood and watched as medical personnel secured Ford to a stretcher. Just saw this on ESPN2. What was Horford thinking? That was awful! He brought his hand down on top of T.J's forehead and just drilled him. A very reckless blow on a player in a vulnerable position.
It looked serious. The way Ford's head snapped when it hit the ground after the foul was gross. The foul itself was nothing malicious, but the response was nothing pretty.
TJ had a breakaway layup and Horford swiped at him trying to get the block and hit him in the face from behind as he was passing him. TJ's head snapped backwards and then he hit the floor hard and slammed his head.
Actually Horford was trying to block a layup by Ford, he couldnt reach for the ball and his arm came down on TJ Ford's head instead. Horford should be fined or something, you shouldn't bring your arm down like that, even if he got the ball, his arm would have brought down Ford also. Just stupid.
It was just reported on ESPN that Ford was moving his limbs after being taken off on a stretcher. So that's good news.
ESPN has the vid on the front page -- dude grabs his face and Ford whiplash slams his head on the floor. F'ing brutal.
