He's our 2nd round pick from the past draft, and is a PG. I don't know his stats, but I think he was supposed to be one of the, or the best pg coming out of High School, and I think he only played one year of college. (he was suspended for one year, I think. I forgot why.)

    edit: Ok, here's some info:

What about Tierre? Now we have 4 PGs and only 1 SG.

I don't know if Tierre's signed yet. He is only just a restricted free agent, according to ESPN. This may just mean we got Tito and will not sign Tierre. Or maybe it means nothing.

BTW, I have tried to look for it too, and can't find it. I guess it just happend, and since he's just a 2nd roind pick many sites don't care. But I would think some site would have it.

tierre could dish the ball better than anyone on the team last year. if he worked on his defence he could have been our back-up (even though i love mooh).

maybe tito beat oscar for his spot at the 2? he is 6'4" 200lbs that can be a small 2.

Yeah, I like Tierre too. But I'm afraid Tito may have gotten more love from the Rockets. I would like to think Tito beat out Oscar, (even though I like OT.) but I don't think he has a SG's game. From the summer league reports, it sounds like he just drove and dished out. I would have thought he would shoot a lot if he was going to be a SG. I also heard somewhere he can't shoot as well as a SG should, so that doesn't help Tierre either. But you never know.

oh man. i hope my sig is wrong.

is ther any word on the contract? maybe its just a contract to keep him for the preseason.

remember back to last year when we had tierre and damon jones were both signed. they both made it as far as the end of preseason. then jones was traded.

Steve, Mooch and Tito are signed. Tierre will have to beat out Tito if he doesn't sign elsewhere and the Rockets don't match the offer.

For sure Tito will be expected to play behind Steve at PG. He does not have the ability to create his own shots like a SG should. Throughout his college career, NBA tryouts, and summer league, he only played at PG position. He's best known for his assist capabilities. Some say he was a steal in the draft. Maybe he has trading worth and that's why they signed him. Otherwise, Moochie or Tierre is gonna be traded. The last option would be bye bye Tierre.

Tierre is a restricted free agent. Maybe they will let him compete and then whoever loses can be traded for a draft pick. Tito and Tierre are both good players that definitely have value in the league.

I think he was suspended for taking money from an agent (I think that was what they said around draft time). The draft analysts commented on the fact that he would've gone first round last year; and was a real sleeper (having not played all season) - perhaps other teams forgot that he was eligible?

I think he's going to be a great backup point! Look at his college stats - he averaged 13.5 ppg, 8.0 apg, 5.8 rpg and 1.5 spg. And that was in his freshman year.

If Tierre has to go, then Tierre has to go!

    From RC cola's link (thanks):

In his sole college season, scored in double figures in 23 of 25 games.
Led the WAC and was fourth in the nation in assists (8.0 apg).
Averaged 13.5 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Had five games with at least 10 assists, including a season-high 17 against TCU to go along with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Had 130 assists in league play, the second-best mark in conference history.
Recorded 14 assists and 10 points vs. SMU.
Made his Bulldogs debut on December 19 against Toledo and registered 19 points and 13 assists.
    Scored a season-high 20 points against Louisiana-Lafayette and Hawaii.
Twice named WAC Player of the Week.

Haven't seen him play, but for a freshman, that was a good year.

I'm happy the Rockets decided to sign Tito. I know many here don't know much about his game, not that I do know much but I seen him play a few games at the summer league. Thought you guys might like to know alittle so from what I have seen yes it's true Tito can't shoot well outside in fact I'd say he's pretty shakey outside of 10ft but what he can do best is create shots for his teamates. He has natural talents at this, it's not like he forces the pass or takes time to pass down to a player like if it was his job to do so and he had to, but he just finds the open player with a natural sense.

He's really great at driving in and then finding the open player whether they be on the other side of the court or even behind him or anywhere, IMO I would take him just on this(he's just that good at it). That 8 assist per game as a freshman to me is nothing I would say shocking once you have seen him play it's just something he's very good at(but it is shocking if you haven't seen him play, like before I had seen him I though he just padded his stats to look good for scouts but not true he's got real natural talent and it doesn't look like he's trying to be an assist king or anything like being open for a layup and then pass it just to get the assist). His greatest asset as in creating for others is his is ablilty to drive in and draw the double team(it seemed to happen most the time when he did it in the summer league) and then zip a pass to the open player without even hesitating or even looking(just really smooth at passing and quick too).

He's got pretty good defense, not likely to steal alot or block a shot but he's good at getting a body on a player. He really sticks to them body checking an opponent constantly. Applys full court pressure, in fact he's always pressuring his opponent whether or not they have the ball, just sticks close to them regardless. It's like his endurence is high, he's just doesn't look tired running around on defense whether or not the other player is constantly faking left and right with or without the ball, he's going to try and stick as close as he can to them. He doesn't go for steals by poking at a player, that's not his style he just trys to pressure them much like maxwell use to do.

He's good at knowing when a fast break happens and in the summer games he was usually miles away from defense on fast breaks for the open layup once the ball got to him. He didn't go for the dunk in the games and just when for the easy layups. But he can dunk, he did demonstrate to the crowd his ability to dunk in warmups doing monster slams like 360s and off the bounce of the floor and off the backboard alley opp jams. He was also great
at driving in and if defense doesn't collapes on him then instead of passing he when for the layup, did hit some spectacular shots through major traffic down under in the games. He's seems to be a rebounder too, jumping very high to get some at times and grabs it like a PF with two hands and then tucking it to his stomach to secure it, very solid at it like Francis does.

But he's definitely a project right now. Still needs to work on ballhandling, he gets many(many) turnovers from traveling and needs to work on his shooting, at this point I'd say he doesn't have what it takes to make it as an NBA guard in shooting, IMO he's almost as bad as Cato(nothing but layups and dunks) but his skills in other departments makes up for it. Not great at FTs either, he also miss a few clutch FTs in those games. Also he just doesn't look confident in his play, but maybe he was just nervous then. I think the rockets signed him to be just insurance at this point, if he does get to play I'd say it would be like how the Rockets used tierre last season. He's definitely not ready to play any significant mins(like 15 per game) yet IMO. Again he's just good at driving and passing and creating for others right now like RC Cola said and he's not that great at creating for himself like HoRockets said.

Sorry it's alittle long got carried away again : )
