I don't like that the rockets picked up Maddox. He seems to me like another headache and a possible cancer in the locker room. When he came with Fresno to SMU and Moody Colliseum he lost his cool. The student section was heckeling the him and during a dead ball he walked over cussed us out and shot the bird. While I didn't take offense to this it showed his immaturity. If you can't take heckeling from a half-full Moddy Colliseum how is he going to hang in the NBA when he visits Boston, New York, etc. etc. He has no class a bad track record and I hope we get rid of him ASAP. I also hope I'm wrong and he does good things...I just don't think that will happen.

GO ROCKETS! I'm looking forward to good things ahead.

Darn. You're right! He sounds just like Eddie Griffith. Remember the character baggage he carried into the draft?

Eddie's turned out to be a great teammate, a respectable citizen, and a "keep-your-mouth-shut-unless-you've-got-something-to-say" kind of guy.

    Look, give him a chance.

By the way, this guy could start now on many teams.

haha tito's my boy, not a bad pick at all. if a bunch of ****ups were talking **** to me, i'd chunk bird too. and if it counts for much, i don't care what he did once at smu. "if he can't take 200 ppl at smu, how's he gonna take the rockets lallala"... one, a lot less **** is talked in an nba arena, and two, he played at fresno state, he's seen these "big arenas" you speak of. he's a baller, i'd rather have him w/ his "problems" than a yes man w/ no backbone... he won't back down from a challenge. sure he might get instigated a la wallace or payton, but whatever. i've never heard anything about him being a "cancer" in the clubhouse, either. his knock is being from compton and taking gifts from an agent. big deal. we don't really need a backup point, but he'll roll all over moochie, for what it's worth... explosive, athletic, exciting. **** em up tito.

the guy's going to be a backup point with this team at best. I don't think he'll be significant enough to be a cancer. It's not like we're going to be looking to him to take the final shot or anything.

This is the kind of kid that Mobley can take under his wing and show him how to be a pro. Remember, Mobley is one of the most popular players with his peers in the whole league. Tito will be just fine here. I predict he will end up contributing for this team, and enable us to possibly use Moochie as trade bait in a year or two.

Kid has talent and he had an excellent freshman year at Fresno State. The only off court issue I know about is the problems he's had with taking money from agents. Had he stayed in school this guy may have been in the first round (mid to late).

Eddie Griffin had more serious issues (fighting with teammates), and so far things have been fine. I think the Rockets have good leadership in the locker room, thanks to guys like Mobley.

The Relativist is right. Maddox is gonna be 3rd string this year at best so he can't cause too big of a disturbance. If he keeps his head on straight, he has some talent and could really help us in a couple of years.
