Well, I am at a quandry. As a beginning Texans fan and a big Vince Young fun, I find this week incredibly tough. Do I root for a guy that I followed for 3 years in College and watched do amazing things, or do I root for a team from my hometown (which I no longer live in?). I think this week, I am going to be rooting for..........The TITANS !!! But, not for the reasons that you think. I will be rooting for the Titans because the Texans are not going anywhere and they need a higher draft pick. So....once more into the Vince Young breach I go..... DD PS. The Texans screwed up big time by not taking Vince.
I'll be completely honest...I have no idea how I'll feel when these teams take the field at this point. P.S. The sky is blue.

last year I had enough rooting to tank. This year I'm rooting for wins. Cause it'll be tough to lose the rest of the way I think.. may as well win multiple games then. Plus it'll hurt bad if everyone cheers for VY and then he beats us. I love VY...but I don't want Texans management looking even worse Plus yeah..Texans over anyone regardless.
See, I do..because if the same incompetence continues it will be YEARS before the team is any good. Hold management accountable....no free passes, it is their job to evaluate talent and get the best player available....and picking number 1...they did not even get one of the TWO best players available. I was an Oilers fan. Never have been a Titans fan and won't change. I have rooted for the Texans from day 1 and my enthusiasm grows with every passing game. But the love I have for those Oilers hasn't quite been touched by our new franchise.It's on the come bigtime though.
I'm done with rooting for the Texans to lose late in the season. I want to see some W's towards the end of the season. So it's easy. Go Texans! I get the whole Vince is from Houston. But I could really care less he might as well be from Dallas when he's playing Houston. I respect him, I hope he gives back to our community. I hope he does well for the Titans I just never to see that franchise win a SuperBowl with Vince or w/o.
These days, I always root for a Texans win but with Carr sucking. Yesterday was perfect in that regards. Surely there can be no question that this guy isn't the right quarterback for THIS franchise anymore. He needs to go pull a Joey Harrington somewhere else. As for VY....I like him, and do think if you had to do the draft over, he's the guy you take. He does continue to make mistakes, but he also is gradually piling up more and more positives in the stat column. I think the biggest thing, though, is all the intangibles - it seems like everyone in that locker room is already behind him and vies him as a leader.
I an not, nor have I ever been a Tennessee Titans fan. Bud Adams can go **** himself for all I care. GO TEXANS!
I am a Texan fan... I can't root for David Carr. I regret VY is not a Texan and I can't root for the Titans. I will root for the Texans, and hope that VY doesn't embarrass us too badly.
