#1 overall pick for #3 overall pick and #35 overall pick The saints and the titans both want a QB in the draft, that is obvious. Young has come up as a better QB prospect than Lienart. New Orleans will probably take him. The titans are tied to young though because he shares the same agent as mcnair and mcnair is young's mentor. The titans will probably want a vince young. If they have enough interest and concern, then maybe we can trade off our #1 overall pick. We loose nothing because the texans are taking reggie bush and with the top two picks clearly QBs, we can still pick him up. The #35 or even a third round pick is really valuable and can be used effectively.
Well, if everything that I have read is true, the Saints want Leinart or Cuttler. So, Young would be there at #3 anyway.
I don't think Young is definitely hands down the better prospect than Leinart. I think it could be argued either way. And really it comes down to what a team's need is. Personally I think NO would be better off takin Leinart, who has the extra year of college experience and might be more ready to contribute. I'm thinkin Young will have to sit out for at the least the first season. So whose in more dire need of a starting qb, the Saints or Titans? Well the Titans have Mcnair, assuming he re-signs. And then it all depends on who the Texans want. Bush was a lock to come here before the Rose Bowl, but now that Young has declared his intentions, who knows.
