Who saw the TNT NBA post game show?? Charles keep on with the Yao Ming will not score 19pts in any one game this year. The bet is still on with Kenny, if Yao Ming scores 19pts in any game he will kiss Kenny's ass. I hope Yao Ming does score 19pts to shut Charles up. Worst Rockets trade Charles for Horry, Cassell, Brown and Bryant. \m/

I'm guessing that you aren't the President of the Sir Charles Fan Club. :)

Its all fun and game with Barkley. When he did that with Phoenix, all of us hated him. Then when he was with the Rockets, we loved it. Now he is on TNT bashing our players, we hate him once again. Chuck is just being Chuck. He was bashing on Yao pretty bad but, he had me laughing a bit. He did though apologized and said "I am sorry Shou, I mean Yao". Chuck is just being himself. He admits that he WILL be a great player one day, and thats all you can ask from him.

As for the trade, we took a chance. We almost succeded. Just think of it as it was a better risk than Hakeem going to Toronto. At least we got 4 years out of him.

Actually...the Chrles trade was a success. We got Charles so we could get past Seattle. Mission accomplished. Sadly we then got beat by the damned Jazz.

Well, yea, that was one of the reasons why we got him. But we knew the ultimate goal was to get another ring. :)

Which we sure as hell wouldn't have done with Chucky Brown, Horry, Cassell, and Bryant...

Barkley gave us our best possible chance, and we fell short. Tough $hit. We gave it a try at least.

I think Kenny Smith should pay each Rocket $5000 for each assist they give Yao in the game he scores 19 in

Then they should show Barkley kissing his ass on the big screen at the Compaq Center

I like Barkley, but I only saw the end of that show and I quickly tired of him last night. It seemed like he was making fun of white players, and worse, Chinese players. Again, I only caught the end, but is that what he was doing?

Yao's play will shut him up soon enough.

I wonder if Barkley still remembers those free throws he bricked that would have iced the game for phoenix in the playoffs against Houston.

    Charles really loves Kenny's ass.
Yao said, I will get 18 or 20, but never 19.

It's because of Charles and Kenny that Houston gets so much press. They really are great for the team and the city, so I can't understand why people think Charles is always bashing Houston players.

In fact, it seems Charles likes Yao.

In anycase, I would be very surprised if Yao didn't have a 19 pt game this year. I mean, he's already had a 7 pt game, so it's not that hard to imagine him having even a fluke game where he hits 7 or 8 shots and gets fouled a few times.

It would be sweet to get ahead and be able to feed Ming the ball for that 19 :D

I saw a clip on espn this morning...it was of Tiger Woods on Leno and he said something like....."Charles Barkley is perhaps the worst golfer on the planet....all you have to do is stay upright and breathing and you can beat him"

    Goes around...comes around :p

Barkley was the start of the End of the Dream! He became so passive when Barkley joined the Rockets! I was against the trade, they gave up too much for a player on the cusp of retirement.

So it's Barkley's fault that Dream became passive? Please explain why addid CB4 made Dream passive and how not adding CB4 would have allowed Dream to be not passive.

Seems like you are blaming Charles for Dream slowing down (age).

Did the Rockets have good team chemisty after they acquired Barkley? Personally, I don't think so. The team never meshed very well. They were supposedly problems between Clyde and Charles, and of course we know he didn't get along with Scottie.

Hakeem didn't become more passive. But I think Rudy T. preferred to go to Barkley more in the post. I didn't liket this, but he had the numbers, and he's the coach.

Looking back on it, I wish we hadn't traded for Barkley. I have yet to hear Barkley praise Hakeem. I think there is plenty of disrespect coming from Barkley's side. I remember Hakeem saying he wanted the ball more, and Barkley told him to keep it in-house. That's really rich coming from a guy with a big mouth.

I agree with you about this. The fact that they talk this much about Yao and the Rox is good press. Both these guys are Rox alumnis and doubtfully would go out of their way to bash the organization. I think Charles is challenging Yao and Rudy T to prove him wrong. He's a smart guy. If Yao does it, then he raises the level of Yao's game. If Yao doesn't, then the Chuckster will look like he's a B-ball genuis. For Charles, it's a win-win proposition, outside of kissing Kenny's ass.

If anything, Barkley ADDED productive years for Dream. If we had no Chuck, that's more energy/effort Olajuwon would have had to expend.

I bet if Ming does score 19 points in a game, Charles will simply do a kissing gesture and slap Kenny's ass.

I remember the Barkley trade pretty well, I didn't think it would help the Rockets but give them publicity at the time.
