hey all, I've got a phone interview today for a IS Manager position over in San Marcos TX...its been a while since I had to do a phone interview are there any recommendations or general tips that you oh so smart people know? or people who are in positions of hiring here, what things do not sound good over the phone versus what does sound good? I know a lot will be based on my knowledge of the industry and field but any generic dos and donts would be helpful. The interview is at 3pm texas time. I was just called about an hour ago to have it set up.
Phone interviews are pretty easy its usually just going over your resume. The most important thing is to close for the next step in the process but thats obvious good luck
please you know me I'd turn spurs fans into rockets fans though with their recent play its not going to be easy
Ask: "So when's the OUTLET STORES' field trip?" You'll be hired in no time, sir. May I ask what will be the position title's requirements/duties/responsibilities?
Dress well, go to a quiet room, have your resume in front of you and a notepad in front of you, and sit up like you're doing an in-person interview. It helps you get your mind right for the interview. /changed jobs 3 times in 2 years.
thanks i am at work right now will be doing it on my lunch break so i can just do it in my office with the door closed that helps
Interviewer: "So, Mr. Griffin, where do you see yourself in 5 years???" (Peter looks at a picture of the man and his family at the beach) Peter's Brain: "Don't say doing your wife, don't say doing your wife, don't say doing your wife..." Peter: "Doing your.....son."
just got off the phone it went fine i think....its a start up company so there were a few questions in regarding how to deal with start up stuff that I had to answer that threw me off a bit but not too much. well I guess I'll know soon enough if I did well enough for a follow up in-person interview and all.
